Looks kind of dispassionate; as in, perhaps not made by horror fans. Eh, I'm probably judging too soon.

Synopsis:
Six ambitious forensic undergrads are pitted against one another on a scientific expedition to a remote island, vying to win an esteemed trainee position with the FBI. Unbeknownst to everyone, the site was formally used as an illegal biological testing grounds for life-term criminals who were left for dead. Behind the mission is Professor Tomkins, who together with FBI agent Veneziano have devised a series of experiments to test the would-be agents to their limits. Three mutilated cadavers taken from the medical labs have been planted around the island in a reconstructive test which the undergrads will be assigned tasks in order to discover what may have caused the fatal injuries.

Even before the undergrads have started their experiments, the zombie criminal convicts are systematically hunting them down and what started as a fight for an esteemed career in the FBI is now a fight for their very lives.

It looks like it could have potential to be good. Or another House of the Dead. Looks well made at least.

the zombies need the coudy white contacts used on Walking Dead. A rotted face with normal eyes just misses the mark for me.

Hmm. Maybe. But I can definitely overlook contacts if it's an otherwise good movie.

Yes, I agree with you. The old saying applies here, "The eyes are the window to the soul..." Well, if a zombie doesn't have a soul, wouldn't it make sense that the eyes are shown as cloudy or lifeless to reflect that condition. Normally, I can look past a gaffe or two in a zombie movie, but if make-up effects personnel can't get the eyes right, I have to wonder about the whole project.

They're just eyes. Of all the things I thought I'd see argued about in zombie movies, contacts was not one of them. I mean you're seriously doubting the entire film because of contacts.
The phrase "window to the soul" isn't to be taken literally; and even if it were, we most likely don't have souls to begin with anyway. Romero's zombies always have that slightly melancholy look, without the aid of contacts. The entire facial area around the eyes effect how the eye is perceived, not just the visible part of the eyeball.

I have to disagree with you on this one Paul. Life is in the eyes. When someone is injured they look into the person's eyes to see if they are ok or have a head injury. In my opinion a zombie should never look around with it's eyes because the eyes should be dead. Fulci did that perfectly. Although I love Romero's movies, I have always had a slight problem with his zombies looking around, especially during that pie fight.
Although I like the poster art for this movie, the fact that the zombie is looking straight into the camera does hurt the make-up and that fact that he is supposed to be dead.
Zombies eyes should be dead.
