I know if came out a week ago but I decided to go check it out.
My sister, Brother in law and myself made the trip....Boy.

It just seems like the film was more stand alone than part 4.
It wasn't great but I didn't leave the theater.

i gave it a 3 of 5 (Netflix rating)

My wife and I own the previous Underworld movies. We have hopes for this sequel because we've enjoyed the previous movies so much (that and Beckingsale looks rather great in the leather outfit ), that being said, I really don't know where else the writers can take this storyline. Guess we'll find out.

They put a blue filter over every one of these movies. The entire movies are blue. I've only seen the 1st one and all I remember is the color blue.

Well I've seen the movie and, yes, it is rather blue Fortunately though that didn't ruin it for me

It was pretty good, though not as good as the previous ones. Nice action and effects and Kate, of course, was as awesome and hot as usual. This movie just kind of felt incomplete by the end. Something was missing. I think it felt more like a part 1 than a full movie. If we had a part 2 coming up soon, like they did with Kill Bill and the last Harry Potter, I'd be happier with it. I'm sure there's supposed to be another sequel that continues on but they'll probably make us wait 2 or 3 years to see it.

Oh, and the uber-lycan was totally kick ass

Just watched the new Underworld movie. It was ok, probably would give it a C or C+. Yes, Kate was hot as usual, but I think we're reaching the point of diminishing returns when the only true focal point of the movie is how damned great and sexy Beckinsale looks playing the vamp.

Are you sure about this? I rewatched the movies with the blue filter in mind, and it wasn't there, though oddly enough i also remember seeing lots of blue before rewatching them. I watched the dvd extra and it mentioned that they alter the colour to the movies. No mention of any filter though.
