Fright Night - 2011 Rate Topic: -----

First off I can't stand Colin Farrell and for them to put him in this film as the vampire Jerry Dandridge was an insult to the original film with Chris Sarandon as that character. Sarandon does have a cameo in the remake though.

The CGI was very lame but I did enjoy the scenes in Peter Vincent's 5 star hotel suite later on in the film. The ending wasn't too bad imho.

I watched this around christmas with a free rental on Amazon so not to support this film.
This is a perfect example of what is wrong with modern horror. Everything aside from David Tenant in this movie is bad. And I agree, it is a complete insult to the original, highly entertaining film Fright Night.
0/10 in another words....total shit.

I totally agree....it was almost embarrasing for me to watch and I watched it the other night and I'm only a weekend drinker and wished I watched it drunk this weekend instead and fell asleep to it lol.

I liked the remake of Fright Night, and it was cool to have Chris Sarandon show up in a cameo role. The differences in the original and the remake were subtle and I liked the film makers didn't copy the plot scene for scene. That being said, the original Fright Night from 85, is still the best between the two and I would say it is also one of the best vampire movies ever.

Even the head of Universal admits that The Wolfman remake was complete garbage.

It was OK. The first half was boring, but it really picked up at the end. Didnt like what they did to Peter Vincent's character, The actor who played him saved it,but in the end he came thru. Could of done without some of the stupid sexual comments like the stretch armstrong bit just because the original was such a great vampire movie I thought that part was un called for, but I guess that is modern film making, nothing is original, the CGI was kind of lame. Film makers should watch more 1980s horror to fiqure out what makes a great horror movie. i give it a 7/10 because the second half of the movie was good.

I liked the remake & think a lot of you are not giving it a chance because they remade a classic. As a movie it was good imo

I enjoyed the film, it came as a 'free' viewing through our VOD cable service, but I would have probably paid to see it.
