I thought this might be a fun topic for horror-fans out there: WHO is your favorite villain/protagonist/bad guy of all time?

This can be from film, books, video games etc. any media really.

Two come instantly to my mind:
"The Joker" and not just the most recent version (though it was amazing!) I mean the character in general, spanning back to the TV show and comics. Someone of maniacal, unpredictable chaos.

Second would definitely be Hannibal Lector. When it comes to creepiness, nothing compares to a charismatic serial killer. At least for me.

What are yours and why do they stick out more than the others?

Predators are a good choice, though they're not exactly villains.

Some horror movies have good villains only because they're more likable than their prey.

Fett wasn't a villain. The rebels could have easily hired him if they had the dough.... :blowingsmoke: Heck, Han was more of a villain than Fett was.

I agree. The expanded universe paints him as more of an anti-hero than a straight out villain but in context of the movies, since he's working with the bad guys, I'd say that technically would put him in the category of villain.

Though I don't know if you could say Han was more of a villain. He joined the rebels and gave up his criminal past. Fett appeared willing to work for whoever paid more, no matter the motives behind it. But then again, I believe in the later novels Fett and his new Mandalorians did ally with the Republic to fight the Yuuzhan Vong. I haven't read them though so I'm not sure of the exact details.

Oooohhh yeah, I totally forgot about a few of these.

There's always that villain that never started out that way, they just morphed into the "bad-guy".

Jack Torrance from "the Shining" was what reminded me (Blasphemous note: I've only seen the movie, haven't ready the book - if it happens to be different). Now, this had me thinking of more. What about Wolfman? Like the old-school Lon Chaney Jr. version.
