Ok, I am sure this has been asked but after searching for it I found nothing. My friend gott he book The Zombie Survival Guide and when I saw him reading it I said to myself in a self assured voice "I MUST have this book!" I saw this film in the begining of the chapter ON THE RUN and I have searched for it on google, yahoo, msn, and many links regarding zombies and nothing has come up that give me a definite address... Id you can not tell by my lack of an avatar I have just created an account for this question.
Hoping somebody reposts with an answer so my thirst can be qenched,

Lawson Film?

Slish,
If you are seriously looking for the "Lawson Film" as described in that book, it doesn't exist. Dude, it's fiction. However, some intrepid indie film maker may one day choose to either make a Lawson film based on Brooks' description in the book (which could be expanded into a full length film by the right writers), weave such a vignette into a larger film or, as has been discussed here a while back, make the entire "Zombie Survival Guide" itself into a film. But I'm pretty sure the grainy 8 millimeter footage of a doomed group of people trying to escape zombies in a school bus is best viewed in the imagination.
p.s. - welcome to the wonderful world of zombie

Yeah I know it is fake but I figured someone had made one. I heard someone made it from some third party site or something.

Well, what the hell do I know. Good luck in your search - maybe someone else has heard of it and will post some info.

Well, I found out there truely is no Lawson Film. I reread the post on that other site and realized I just read it wrong. Also, after reading my first post I saw it sounded like I truely thought it was a movie so now I feel stupid.

Yeah, don't worry - we all have had at least one post that we look back on and think "was that what I wanted to say?" ( I have had at least 10). Glad you got yours out of the way early, and again, welcome to the club.

Alright, guys, i have seen the Lawson film. My friend at school found it when i showd him the paragraph about it in Zombie Survival Guide. At first i thought it wasn't real because i already looked it up and didn't get anything but this cool site. Then he found a real copy and trust me, I stinks. It's black, white, and gray. There is no sound. The whole thing is a hoax because at the end there was a zombie that didn't what none do; take off a mask and hi-5 a "survivor" near him. It really just :poo:. :x was my mind at the end. Also at the end they have the "rescue team" find the bus as if was still going. Plus i have seen each and every recorded Zombie attack and none were in Lawson or within a 10 mile radius of the town.:doh:

That would be cool if they could make a Zombie film about the so called 1965 Lawson outbreak. It could be like the Blair Witch Project. I can see it now.
The true and compelling story of the infamous government cover up of the Lawson incident. The gripping home movie filmed in 1965 Lawson Mt. Of a group of survivors fighting for their lives against the Zombie Horde. This is their story. Shoot it would make a great docu novel like Mel Brook's WWZ or the story could be really good and written like the a true bio about an incident like Walter Lord's A Night To Remember about the Titanic. Well any ways I hope somebody gets ambitious.

I'm guilty of thinking there really was a film. And now I'm quite dissappointed that there isn't. I've wasted 20 minutes looking for it on YouTube and google.
