Hey all,
I've just launched a new Zombie Apocalypse MMO that I've been working on for the last 6 months and was hoping it would interest some of this community as you are very obviously fans of the genre. The game is called Zombie Days and it's a free browser based game set in the fictional Slate City. Your character starts out in the suburbs all alone right after the Zombie Apocalypse has befallen mankind. From there it's up to you how you play with the primary goal being just to survive. Resources are limited so finding food and weapons is a must and you can do that alone or by creating/joining a faction. Some players choose to run around grabbing anything they can to bash in the brains of the zombie horde, while others know that every action in the game creates noise that attracts the undead so they choose to sneak around. Some players have chosen to use the items of furniture they find in their house to barricade themselves in while others are taking the vehicles that are left on the street and just joy riding. We're currently only on day 4 of open beta and the game still has very simple graphics but I'm very proud of my creation and I hope some of you will come and join in. I tried to play it, registered an all, and was never able to log into the game, kept getting a log in error.

I'm sorry about that. Can I ask at what stage did you get the error? And do you remember what it was?
I've just quickly run through the signup process myself with a test account and it worked for me. Which means it'll probably be a pain to fix.

I signed up for an account to play, and then once I clicked the confirmation link in my email to presumably confirm my account, I then try to use my new login information on the site, which says "LOGIN FAILED" or something to that effect.

After you confirm at MMO Tag (http://www.mmotag.com) you need to login there and click 'Join Game' by Zombie Days to create an Account in that game. Once you've done that you can click 'Play Game' and it will automatically log you into Zombie Days (http://www.zombiedays.com). It's an overly complex system I know and I'm looking to simplify it.

You need a new system seriously. I was again going to give it a shot, following your instructions here. Registering and giving my actual birth date on any site is something I don't do. Call me paranoid but I'm not comfortable giving that information out for just trying to play a game (I understand you want to verify the person is of age but come on it's not porn here). So normally I will just select the right year but change up the month and day. After going through the rest of the registration at the end I was asked to verify my birth date yet again. Since I just randomly select a day and month I couldn't remember what I'd choose by then and it didn't match, so there I was stuck again. WAY too arduous to just try to play an online game. If I decide to give it another shot I'll let you know how the game is, just actually getting to it is something I'm not really interested in anymore.

Yeah it's not my authorisation system so at the moment I'm stuck with it. But I'm working to make as much of it as I can more user friendly. Hopefully it won't put off everyone :D

Note. As an online game we have a duty to make sure kids don't get into a game which is aimed at 13+ so we have to ask for a DOB, even if people don't put their real one.

I can't imagine that rules would be stricter for a game site heck most porn sites you just click one ut verufuying you'r ofer 18....not that I would know

As to the game itself. 1.5 of 5 it takes 6 actual minutes to just walk next door? The doesn't say what to do when there, Im sorry I know its your baby but you really need to hear the truth. The graphics are terrible game loads slow, you can cooice a place to go which to me it looks like 99% or locked. There is no action and I'm not waiting to move. What is the player supped to do tittle their thumbs for a half hour while waiting for a little dot to move to a square. You also so shots from screen shots on the front page I didnt see in this game and looked like those shots came from a game Ive played lately and dont remember the name, thats false advertising. Honest opinion this is the worst zombie game Ive played and the most difficult to get to. the map looked like it was created wit microsoft paint. Sorry man there are gave like this out there that make this on look like a horrible atari game

I suspect the difference is that porn sites don't care.

That is your opinion and I'm sure others will agree. But they are the graphics that I wanted it to have. Simple/cartoony which the players we have seem to like. They can and will be improved over time but the game is not about graphics, it's about player interaction.

Yes over the last couple of days there have been some issues with lag. It's day 6 of Beta and there are going to be these kinds of issues early on. Hopefully some of the work I've done on it today will help with that.

The screen shots shown are from in game and I could show you where to take your character in the game to be able to replicate them.
