Just go with the trades or omnibus collections. The single issues are still going up with #1 grades 9.8 (near mint) around $1000 alone.

Yeah, I've got the Compendium Vol. 1, which collects the first 8 volumes. I like to read my comics in trade form; the more collected in one trade, the better.

Being a former Marine combat vet, I would love it if they do an episode showing how some of the military outposts such as the ones at the hospital/Atlanta/& the CDC got overrun.

That would be great.
But maybe just an episode, or a comic series or something.. the show has always been about the characters' interactions and group dynamics, and hasn't ever been about the siege, a la Night of the Living Dead, with people trapped in a building. The majority of zombie flicks are about people trapped in a building and not about survivors actually travelling the post-apocalyptic landscape, which is one of the major things that makes The Walking Dead so great.

I hear ya. I would be stoked with at least a 2 parter showing the troops fighting the walkers at all 3 locations & scenes going back & forth between the fighting at the Hospital Rick was in, downtown Atlanta & the CDC.

I read that before he was fired by AMC, that Frank Darabont wanted to do a stand alone episode about the tank crew in downtown Atlanta & the story of the dead tanker that Rick shot & how he & his fellow tank crew members met their demise. That woulda been awesome! I hate that they fired Frank Darabont as he truly did love the show & wanted the best for it.

Well. I have some friends on the industry that have sent me episode scripts, screen shots and the like. The only thing not released yet is who the actress is who is playing her.

As for the dearly departed, he is the lead in the tv
Adaption of rockstar's L.A. Noir and the producers suppossedly were not happy with him being on 2 shows at once....

Jeffrey Demunn changed his mind too late for them to not kill off dale. His was one of the characters that WAS going to stick to the comic book but when he decided to bail, well that c hanged everything.

Well, I thought the farm was cool, but I totally agree with you that it was time to advance the story beyond the farm. There are only so many plot directions that the show can take with the farm still depicted as safe harbor for the group. The farm being overrun by zombies was a perfect ending to that great farm location. With the season 2 finale coming to a close, and what an exciting show that was, it looks like we're finally getting the gang to the infamous prison! And if that wasn't enough, Michonne will finally join the group and the Governor will become a new nasty villain to oppose Rick and company. Can't wait for season 3 of TWD, the best action adventure drama on TV.

The comics are like spoilers that often lie.
No word yet if Tyreese will have his daughter or her boyfriend. I know Rick will need his serenity soon. Darryl is good back up but is more of a security chief than a trusted lieutenant.
Darryl is committed to the strength of the group, perhaps in spite of himself, That means being Ricks enforcer. For now.
I'm hoping T-dog gets more lines. He's been a filler character so far.
I predict Herschel taking Dales role, grandfatherly and moral but more handy with a rifle.
Andrea is ready for the master and she has appeared. She'll be cold eyed and confident by the time she finds the party.

Yes, season 3 is going to be absolutely wild! I agree with you about T-dog and his lack of meaningful dialogue. It seems his biggest interaction so far was last season when he and Dale were still back on the highway with the RV. T-dog was slightly delirious from the infection growing in his freshly wounded arm and he was telling Dale they should just leave the group while there was a chance. Anyway, I like the character T-Dog. Hopefully, he get more lines when Michonne joins the group after escorting Andrea back to them. Herschel is another good character. Honestly, I thought he might get killed off in the season finale, but I am happy that the Herschel character will continue onto season 3. I hate to wait until probably October before this epic tv show returns. Guess it's time to buy some more Walking Dead comics!

He gave Rick a "Dude, you're crossing the line" look in the last episode. I think he will not tolerate much pushing.
Glen is more confidant now that he has a role more important than walker bait. I think he will be a conscience for the group, though perhaps with more zest and youthful impatience and less insight than Herschel.
What was the name of Maggie's sister? The blonde who almost offed herself? She will have a chance to manifest in the next season. Perhaps Andrea will become a role model to her, having overcome what she's facing now. And also, with her losing her sister and andrea losing hers, a natural lego-tight transplant can be performed.
