Brief summary:
"Heart Land" is the brutal allegory of a group of children in Middle America struggling to survive in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. It is influenced by both "Lord of the Flies" and "Peter Pan" as well as the long tradition of zombie movies from "Night of the Living Dead" to "28 Days Later."

Well, Heart Land reached its goal of $5000 on its Kickstarter page after only five days. They now have a new goal of $10,000, and at $9,038 (now $9,048 after I made my contribution) and 18 days left, they're sure to get it. For a $10 backing fee, you get a DVD of the finished movie! Sweet.

If you really care to slice open the script and categorize it's cinematic innards, here's what you get: tragic coming of age story, nail biting thriller, quietly gestating human drama, and a wholly original take on man's (or children's) fight to survive an oncoming zombie uprising.

There have been way crazier things done to fund films LOL I assure you. I think reaching out to people who will see it was a creative means. Love the poster. Very eerie. Which is exactly what the story needs.

Project Update #10: IMDB page and Trailer status

Hi everyone!

We've been quiet for some time but wanted to share with you all two things.

First, our IMDB page for the film is up. You can find it here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2244887/

It doesn't have too many details as of yet but you can find more info if you follow the links to IMDBpro.

Also, the trailer is going through finishing touches on the sound mix. It is taking some time only because our sound mixer is a long-time Hollywood professional and is working on this in his few spare moments.

Yeah at first I saw the kid pic and wasn't crazy about it. But then the poster made up for it.
