O.m.g. that thing was wicked.. I tried to control the recoil but after nearly breaking my wrist I didn't even bother trying anymore lol..
I wish I had a picture of this handcannon it made my friend's .357 look like a pea shooter!
I am glad to say that all of my rounds hit the target.. in that I mean the piece of paper the target was on lol

unbelievable.. so yeah definitely kill a zombie

you gotta try the 500. i shot a range rental and fell in love with it. shot the range rental loads of times. recoil isn't much, its just about the only handgun now that I feel something when i shoot.

i can't afford to get my own, but i dot have a .500 s&w mag rifle. longer barrel adds accuracy, heavier gun makes it fun to shoot, recoil is very manageable and comfortable. I load my own 500, otherwise it wouldn't be affordable to shoot.

i have been pushing my 500 loads, established several kinds of loads, maxed out with a pair of monster power loads. its like your very own $300 elephant gun. with 25 cent ammo. brutal impact energy of up to 3800 ft-lb, either massive penetration or massive expansion.
I got the opportunity to shoot a dead hog. It's been killed for butchering and for some reason the meat wasn't acceptable for sale. someone bought it frozen, strung it up and used it for target practice. by the time I had a chance to put some lead into it it had thawed most of the way.
It was kinda nasty really, and there was a sick smell. I saw the little holes all the other bullets made, most did not go thru. I walked back about 15 yards, put a light load in. BOOM, bullet did not go thru but it sure made a messy 4" hole. put a slightly hotter load in. even messier 4" hole. pile another even hotter load in, i think I managed to shatter the ice in the center. my last load, the most powerful round I have, I picked a new spot and blew the hog in two. 4" entry, about a 18" exit. bullet had actually blown itself to bits about 2/3 of the way in. overall, that's a terrible hunting load due to excessive expansion but an awesome making a nasty, stinky mess load. the hog was literally in two, my last bullet simply pulverized the upper torso of the pig and disintegrated the spinal cord. the upper half... huge bloody mess with nasty red stuff still dripping down... lower half in dirt. It was too graphic to photo. bile still rises in my throat thinking about the mess i made.

Can you imagine if I shot a zombie with that? blows it all over the street! a grenade probably wouldn't create messier results.

Both the 460 and 500 are monsters.

Well, some of us are a whole lot older than that. I think Bob might have actually fought in the civil war

Bob means Federal 327 magnum, Homey, its a neat, newish revolver cartridge. I heard Marlin might put out an 1895 in .327 next year.

I just bought a magnum. its not the 500 I was hoping for, but I just couldn't pass up this deal.
Uberti Cattleman .44 Magnum, SA/DA 5" barrel, very nice- case hardened finish on frame, wood grips, brass handle, blued barrel & cylinder. And Guess what? its right in my "impulse buy now, regret it later" price range of only $200!! (less than 1/3 of it new)
Its not quite what I wanted and it doesn't have a swing-out cylinder, but its is a .44 Magnum, 6 shot, a real old west style piece, and in NIB condition, minus the box though.
I can pick it up at the gun shop on 10/10 (stupid CA gun laws, I want my impulse buy now) but that gives me some time to drop by Walmart and get some 44 ammo, I'd feel naked if I didn't have some ammo for that gun!
I'll just have to buy the 500 later. or never, if I find the 44 has enough gun for me (i doubt it, 44 mag's performance is less than stellar compared to what i had in mind)

Yah right.
Put some full power 275 or 300 grain loads through it. Then we'll see if you're still complaining.

We are a bunch limpwristed, noodle armed weanies! Why, I was just watching Zeph this last weekend shooting TC contender pistols, the semi automatic ones, chambered in .405 Gibbs, one in each hand! Individually he must've put at least 1,000rds down range from each one, that's 2,000rds total, and right after that he went and did some exact reproductions of the Magna Charta in free hand caligraphy, including the pictures, and gave some to the Pope and other world leaders.

It's real fortunate that he found the only double action 1873 Colt in the world, in .44 mag no less! Of course to him, it's like shooting a BB gun with soft foamy grips, he doesn't even know it has fired untill the BB hits the target 300yds away, dead in the X. If you guys even saw his guns you'd probably wet your pants, our little girl fingers couldn't even get all the way around the grips, most likely.

Don't you just wish you were Zephyr
