Matt the Rugers generally have less than desirable accuracy out of the box. Most of the people that I know who use them frequently all replaced the barrels. I have a Marlin 795 which is great, although I put a DIP trigger/housing on it. If it is to your standards than just disregard what I said.

Get some range time in with it; and I would start at the 25 meter mark and go up to 50.

I disagree. Every stock mini I've shot has been pretty damn accurate, my p89 is also pretty accurate, and as far as 10/22's go, I've taken crow down at 50-75 yards out open sight off of evergreen tree tops for funzies.

Seriously though, I've had the cops called on me for taking my shotgun out of my trunk, and into my house. they showed up demanding to see the weapon. I didn't show them the weapon, I asked them to leave. they don't like that.

A guy had a $4000 gun safe loaded with stuff.
The thieves had no problem getting into it.
Posing as those guys who walk around neighborhoods and want to preach as you.
Being polite the wife opened the door.
They forced their way in.
Holding the family at gun point they forced the man to open the safe where ALL his guns were.
A third accomplice backed a van up to the house and less than thirty minutes total they were gone.

What is the moral of this story.

Sorry FG, I was implying only the 10/22's - not every weapon ever made by Ruger. This could just be my experiences, though.
