Just watched it. Silly movie really. What were they even doing there? All they did was play with a corpse and do silly spells. It was like that poncey dude was Mr. Burns and they were all his prank monkeys. Once the zombie action finally got started it was pretty cool though.

And as for the chick in yellow Posted Image

The clothes were nice, but like Josh said...annoying. I think the fat guy should have been in a wheel chair and called the yellow shirt girl Sally

FYI...

Do you know that the guy wearing the orange shirt with the ridiculous striped pants, standing all the way to the left (Alan), was married to the chick with the yellow shirt?

btw, you lost me... What did you mean by that quote you made?

He just reminded me of the fat guy in texas chainsaw

If fat guy had said "I pee'd my pants!" one more time, I was gonna shut it off there and then, sheesh. Funny though, his pants looked dry.

The entire premise of CSPwDT was stupid. It just didn't make sense. But the zombies (and soundtrack, which was very much "NotLD") were pretty cool, for 1973.

So ZS, did you buy the dvd yet?

Got the 35 Anniversary DVD for xmas watched it last night & all the extras.

I liked it actually but it does take a while to get to the good stuff, but the zombie attack was great & worth the wait. The girl in the yellow was hot & it probably did keep me entertained til the zombie stuff but over all a cool little cult zombie flick that i will watch again.

Was it just me or did anyone else think that the way they reacted with each other was inspiration for the kids in Return of the Living Dead? but hippies instead of ounks.

I like this in a "so bad it's good way". This is the only movie I've seen where I wanted the zombies to win and eat every character. :zombie5: They all deserved it for doing whatever that idiot director said. :duh:

The 1st 60 min are excruciatingly cruel & slow, but the final 20-25 min more than make up for it! I remember seeing this as a young boy & when those zombies started coming out of their graves & that high pithced , screeching music was playing, I just about shat my pants! I couldn't sleep w/o a nightlight for months cuz I could still see those shamblers dragging themselves out of the ground. For a very low budget movie, the zombie makeup was pretty good & the soundtrack was full of scary, creepy music.

I pop it in the dvd every now & then when the mood to watch a creepy zombie movie hits me. I wish they had at least brought the shotgun back to the cottage with them so we coulda seen a few Zombies get blasted, but I guess their limited budget didn't allow for those types of FX.

I look forward to the re-make. Anyone heard anymore about this?

I dunno, it doesn't sound good. Romero and Savini were going to remake it but that was literally over a year ago now. I don't think anybody's heard anything much since. It's just in development hell. :-/
