This has recently been released on DVD.

A plane is taken over by a mysterious virus. When the plane lands it is placed under quarantine. Now a group of survivors must band together to survive the quarantine.

This came out of nowhere for me. I'd never heard of it before its release. Might be worth a watch. :popcorn:

Quarantine and REC both have their advantages. The ending of REC was a bit better but Quarantine had the zombie dog and rat. They were pretty cool.

It sounds like it could be a Flight of the Living Dead remake, only with a more popular title.

I don't really like this idea, since there doesn't seem to be much room for movement on a plane.

Is this even a continuation from Quarantine, or are 1 and 2 loosely connected? I would've much rather see more of something like the first movie except it happens at an animal hospital or lab. It would be good to see, but probably hard to make using a bunch of animals acting hyper rabid.

I haven't seen REC 2, but i take it both movies have now gone their separate ways?

I thought Quarantine was pretty decent, I've been kinda waiting on this one to see how good it is.

I don't think much of the real action really occurs until the plane is on the ground and the passengers are in the tarmac though...

^ Yep. It looks like it starts on the plane but the focus of the movie is in the airport.

I'm wondering what will happen if they want to do a US remake of REC 2.

I really enjoyed REC and REC 2. Not so much the American versions.

An apology from Romero for Survival.....

I dont know why I dont just buy it. It's the same with Avatar, I keep saying to myself that I'll buy it next time I have money but then I end up seeing something else.

I'll need to sort it out...

If you've seen Quarantine, i wouldn't make too big a deal about seeing REC. They're very similar. Since i saw Quarantine first, i think i prefer that over REC, but maybe i'll have to watch REC again to be sure.

Totally better than their first :)
Rec topped Quarintine
Rec 2 was amazing, a well done sequal, keeping true to forum except with the whole religion aspect.. Quarintine 2, however, was a great addition. Predictable at some points, where just paying attention and asking questions allowed you to be ahead of the game, but it still delivered some creepy scenes and totally can catch you off guard with some screams and infected. Takes a lot to impress me, but they were cool, and they kept everything interesting up until the end; a hard feat now days apparently. So they did a damn good job. :) Totally deserves an average 3/5 rating for the film world.

@Lowrie
Dude, Romero's never going to apologize, he's doing it for the cash money. You have some question to that? Watch Deadtime stories. He'll put his name on anything now and support the most rediculous ****. If youre mad go kill him on Black Ops lol we all know that's why he sold himself to their cause.

@Maximo
Mercedes Masöhn is the worst actress ever.. Possibly she was very unbelieveable. But hey. Least she got what she deserved.

I've watched Deadtime Stories. It seems like it's a Master's of Horror wannabe. I can't blame him for needing the money, but i don't know if it's worth selling out his name.

This came out pretty low key didn't it? I thought Quarantine had a big budget? I've barely even heard about this. For the record, I really enjoyed REC. Quarantine was just OK compared to it, but I'd like to see more done with the series.

Flight of the Living Dead was so damn boring to me. Quarantine 2 looks a bit better though so I might have to buy the dvd.

I can't really judge a movie by its trailer. I've seen some good trailers from bad movies, and bad trailers from good movies. I'd be willing to see Quarantine 2 because a remake/follow up of Flight of the Living Dead could be good, and trying to recreate the atmosphere of Quarantine would also be good. Then again, the idea may be good on paper, but could they pull it off?

I watched REC again. It was much better since neither movies were fresh on my mind. From what i recall, REC wasn't as appealing because the movie felt shorter, and the story seemed rushed. Watching it again, the pace picked up and kept up throughout the movie. It does have a few less scenes than Quarantine, but they're visible with less dimly lit shots. Since they're almost the exact same story, it seems almost silly to pick one over the other. However, since REC was the original, and Quarantine didn't do much to improve upon it, REC wins by default.

It was ok. It had some nice elements, but it obviously was short on budget. Very weird that this came out this way. It IS worth watching but it isn't a great addition to the genre.
