Just played the beta for about an hour... Thorough and great game, the beta's a small chunk of city but dark and great.... It's pretty easy and I think we could all enjoy it.

I like the style. Reminds me of some Zombie Ate My Neighbors action. Or X-Com. Great games.

Have you played it yet? it's about as close to the dream game that we've spoke of around here, and it's still VERY early in production.

I originally thought the game looked atrocious, but I downloaded it and it's superb. I definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a free-roam zombie survival game. It's epic.

High praise from you guys, I'll have to check it out...

[A few hours later after downloading and playing]

Well, I didn't care for it. I know it was just the demo, but my first time playing my "crafting" button didn't do anything, it was just static. I didn't know what I was doing wrong, didn't know how to open the can of soup or anything, it was so frustrating! Then I eventually died, and it worked my second go-round. But now I can't figure out how to tear down the barricades I've built, and I don't know if it's just another glitch in the demo or if I'm just not figuring something out (I have the hammer and everything). And these are just beginning things, the first few steps of the game. If it's this frustrating this early in, no thanks, I'll just go back to Dead Island or something.

I will say it looks like an interesting game, and it should be enjoyable, if it were easier to pick-up-and-play. Just two cents from a casual gamer.

I just gotta say I've paid the $5 for this game and so far it has been single handedly the best zombie game I've ever played.. It's not for everyone but damn it's real!

The thing is, people have given their money to this project so when he goes off on one getting abusive and threatening to give up on the whole project, it's bound to not get a very good reaction.

Still, I hope they can get back on their feet and carry on making the game, I'm still pretty interested in it if a bit hesitant with what happened.

He was drunk and was pretty upset about what happened I'm sure.. Such is the, erm, style and distinction sometimes, when dealing with indie projects. They've got personality. He probably shouldn't have tweeted that but ya gotta give the dude a bit of leeway. Or I do, at least, haha.
Yeah I hope they can continue, the game looked pretty promising (even though my experience with it hasn't been ideal, it's still a test version basically). Hopefully they can get the funds to get a little better security. But such are the problems with DIY projects.
