I agree with Bob.
I once went back to edit a trailer link that had been broken by the hosting site, but since it had been a month or so the edit feature was gone. The first post in the thread now contains a broken link and hopefully the reader continues on in the thread to find the new link.

There is no need to keep creating topics on this subject.

The option for the user to 'lift' the edit bar has been added.
