I try. It's embarrassing when I screw up. That's usually when I'm using the mobile version of the sight. Big fingers and little keyboard.

Homelite always tries.

Not being able to edit and correct typos without screaming it to the world drives me crazy.
When I am typing at full speed I sometimes drop a character at the end of words.
I have even been known to incorrectly spell upon occasion.
Being an uneducated red neck makes it hard to communicate with the rest of the world.

Sometimes I think that people look at the way I say things and can see my lack of education.
To compound matters when I was in school my mantra was sex, drugs, and rock and roll. (see I used "and" to many times)
I used to say grammar? Whats that? Do you eat it or smoke it?

A time came that I decided I wanted to be a Renaissance man and spent the rest of my life trying to achieve that.
It took a while to lose my accent, but now you cannot tell what part of the country I am from.
I try to avoid lecturing but I spent so many years teaching it's hard to avoid when I get rolling.

I remember that nervousness well. As long as you remeber that all the yelling is just a mind game to weed out the unfit, you'll make it. Hell, after a few weeks you'll probably find yourself enjoying it. That's usually when you start getting to the fun soldier stuff and out of the "smoke your ass" phase. I'm envious. I'd love to do it all again.

C'mon bob uneducated is a word that never comes to mind when reading any post from you. Redneck is an entirely different story however. ;-)

Now with cav's posts I sometimes have to grab the dictionary. Haven't heard some of those words since school.

I try. Posted Image English wasn't my best nor favorite subject back in the day. I've spent a lot of time correcting that as I've gotten older.

Well, he has been gone for extended periods before...

True. But not the amount of time it would take to go through basic and AIT, which would be an average of about twenty weeks.

I'm pretty stoked about the whole thing.
Just hope I'm prepared physically as well as mentally.

Im' sure you'll do well brother. Key is keeping your mouth closed and ears open. Do your best and hold nothing back. Listen to those who ahve more experience, especially those who're heavy on the right sleeve. Anything and everything you learn could save your life. Contrary to popular opinion, don't be afraid to volunteer for some things. You'd be surprised at the contacts you can make and the additional training that you can get, all of it helpful. Don't worry about the physical aspect. You'd be surprised how fast you'll shape up once training begins. The mental aspect is where most people fail. I really do envy you. I'd love to be able to do it all again. There's something special about serving our country in uniform. You're part of something greater than yourself, serving with others in a common cause, where ones color, religion, nationality, ethnicity, really don't matter.
