David nodded at May's comment.

"Iight guys, Theodore, let's go get the truck ready! Everybody else, follow and survive, if you get bit, scratched, or you get in contact with any type of infected substance of a ghoul. We wil either kill you, or you could suicide...you're choice..." David declared.

"How about you huh? Do you get to live since you're leader and ****?" asked one of the unnamed jocks.

"Of course...this goes for everybody..including me..." David's eyes went to a sadness.....

Just then they heard a running sound to the cafeteria doors. David's eyes bulged and knew those footsteps...

Je Lin Lee....the famous school wrestler....

David called out to the guy with the axe.

"You...dude with the axe..come with me!" David called.

He nodded and they both set to the doors. They took out the metal piples and they saw Je running to them...behind her was a horde of ghouls.

"Hurry and get in!" yelled David.

Both of them set their stances ready to a battle position...

Corey walked to the cafeteria door, holding the axe near the head. As he reached the door he angled the axe down, and let it slide through his hand until he caught it near the end of the shaft, moving his left hand to the shaft as well. Corey looked over to David, "We could just like. Run, and shit. Those things can't be that fast."

We're going to get out of here and live! Pack up all your things and make sure you're ready, and just before we do that, I want all of you to call your parents!" , encouraged David.

Everybody looked at him brightly and nodded. They took out their cellphones and entered their home numbers and parents numbers, hoping for a response and hoping that they're ok.

Then, just as they were calling, David remembered that his line got cut off with the conversation between his parents! He was just about tell them, when they were talking in their cell phones...
David stopped and lsitened. He smiled. He was happy that everything was alright! Apparentely, all of them got responses, even May and Theodore.

When they were done, they all looked up at him and nodded. He knew they were ready. He smiled and nodded back.

'Theodore, let's get our asses ready and move out!" yelled David.
This was going to be one heck of a journey in hell!

Theodore reached for his cell phone he called his mom she answered but she was quiet"Hi mom...." he heard crying she finally spoke "Theodore our neighbor he's gone crazy he tried to bite me i locked myself inside the bedroom he's out there moaning he's been there for hours......oh god i don't know what to do."Theodore sighed he began to choke up he was filled with sadness he worried if she was bit but he didn't want to ask her he cleared his throat."Mom stay in there whatever you do don't leave i'm coming to get you i love you." He hanged up

he reached for his keys "We have to go now......."

Je Lin looked up as she heard the voices yelling out and saw David and someone else come out of the cafeteria doors. As if responding to the sight of more meat to feast on, the shambling dead behind her started to pick up the pace. She didn't notice the increase in speed from them as she increased her own pace, dashing towards the two and the doors. Then as if to Jinx Corey's words, Je caught sight of something running towards her from the side out of the corner of her eye. A student freshly risen, caked in blood, was making a drunken run from the blind spot of the cafeteria at her. Her broom handle spun in her hand so the pointed end was towards the corpse as she came to a quick stop, dropping down low some. She could now hear the faster pace of the crowd she had dodged through, but she blocked it out of her mind as she sprung out of her dropped stance at the corpse that would just now be entering David and Corey's vision. The sharp broken end of the handle was thrust up behind the jaw of the corpse, running straight up into it's skull. She let go of the broom handle as the corpse dropped, leaving it behind as she got back to running, covering the remaining distance between her and the two. "Anyung. Thank you for this." She gestured at the doors before looking at the approaching crowd of corpses. "I apologize for them. They were heading this way anyways though."

David Looked over to Corey and smiled.

"Oh well, she already took out all of em!"

David waved at Je and smiled at her. She was one heck of a korean chick.

"Je, get in and hurry. There's going to be a lot more coming!" David yelled.

As Je Lin entered the cafeteria, there was a squeek as Corey exited, sprinting toward the parking lot, also drawing attention from a good number of the zombies previously chasing Je Lin. He looked over his shoulder, then leaned forward, his axe still in hand as he ran. He then threw the axe.
The axe tumbled through the air over the fence into the parking lot, then smashed trough the back window of a Kia.
Corey jumped, grabbing onto the top of the chainlink fence, then pulled himself over into the parking lot.
He ran past the Kia, retrieving his axe before pulling a set of keys from his pocket.
He stopped for a moment at the side of a dark green International Scout II. He unlocked the door, stepped in and closed the door, locking it after him.
He looked around. Zombies were coming from all directions.
He put the key in the ignition and turned the key, reversing and turning, then floored the gas, leaving two long lines of burned rubber behind him.
The truck's tires were still smoking as he drifted the corner and through the gate.
He upshifted two gears, turned quickly, then the truck went over the curb, then stopped next to the cafeteria door.
Corey shifted over to the other side and got out of the passenger door, "I got room for 4!"

"I'll go with Theodore! Theodore, come on! One more person can go to Corey's car. May, come one, let's go!" said David.

As they approaced Theodore's truck, a group of ghouls were attached to the sound and pretty much they were surrounded.
Lucklily they had space around them to fight.

"Aw ****....here we go again.....eh **** this...everybody get in the vehicle. We'll road kill these guys!" yelled David.

May ran, her hand in Theodores, she would've prefered David's but then she would've probably melted completely. Her head was in a daze, the undead where attacking and she was having second thoughts, not good. She ignored everyone else, even when Theodores wide hands let her small pale ones go. She was blank, unaware of the approaching undead that began to surround the group.

"May, come on!" Yelled David. She didn't hear him though, she was still lost in her own mind.

'Pull yourself together May, they're just guys.'

Je Lin shrugged her bookbag, centering it back up on her shoulders and back before she followed the group. She saw May freeze up and stopped next to her. "Hey you, get moving! One that not move makes silver plate!" She slapped the girl on the back, pushing her towards Theo's car. She then started a dash towards Corey's Scout her light body getting there quickly as she swung herself into the bed of the scout (unless the back of it is a covered thing then she takes the time to open a door and get in). Once in, she'd pull her bookbag off, holding it close to her in her lap as they would make their way out of there.

May felt Je Lin's hand pound her back, telling her to get a move on. May retracted from her trance and looked downwards, her makeup still smudged, giving her the appearance as if she'd been crying black tears. 'No rest for the wicked.' Thought May, she trotted to Thedores van, still aware of the presence of the creeping ghouls, almost in arms length of the bonnet of the truck. She climbed up in the back of the car, her black fringe still covering her beautiful features, she took out her Ipod and placed the earpiece in, she pressed the smooth button at the bottom of the white dial. 'Play'. One of May's favourite songs, Sa'eed ( http://www.youtube.c...h?v=E-x_ZiaN7Rw ) began to play, sweeping her away from the confusion and the emotion of the situation. "Ahhhh, I hope I can chill and stay the same..." May's beautiful voice was quietly projected, only to be embraced by the ears of those who could hear her. "...To cut the chain of lies you've been feeding my veins I've got nothing to say to you." Another soft, wet tear traced down her face, leaving a series of wet dots behind...

Corey looked through the cafeteria, everyone had left to the parking lot, except for the the three in his Scout. He ran back, getting into the driver's seat. He shifted into reverse and backed off the grass into the staff parking lot, then turned, flooring the gas, exiting the parking lot as the tires smoked.

Theodore jumped in his truck,it was a Ford F-250
his dad had given it to him on his 17th birthday he remembered it like it was yesterday it was the best present he ever gotten.He heard his dads voice "Happy 17th birthday bud,i hope you like...." Theodore was speechless "Dad,i...I LOVE IT.".His dad died shortly after maybe 2 or 3 months later.His dad had cancer his had it since Theodore was 15 the doctors told Theodore "It's going to be okay,its not that bad." Theodore laughed back then it gave Theodore hope he now knows the doctors were saying it just so he can feel better,when is cancer not bad.On his death bed Theodore's dad told Theodore "Your the man of the house now take good care of your mom."the words echoed in Theodores head his mom was in her room crying with a damn zombie outside her door.



Theodores thoughts were interrupted by David "COME ON Theodore! The ghouls are coming!" Theodore looked back he didn't care who was in the truck or in the back as long as May and David where there.Theodore didn't bother to check who was in the truck "Make room for my mom,were going there first buckle up.........."He started to drive he looked out the window and saw many of his peers running,crying,screaming,or even getting eaten he drove out to West Cactus Road and to his house.

May sat in the corner of the vehicle, trying to avert her stealthy gaze from the muscles on both of the boys arms. 'For god sake May, pull yourself together, what is with you today!' A little voice in her head screeched. "I feel ashamed, again and again, nothing to give, no one to blame, during the day, I guess I'm ok!" May sung quietly, unsure whether the boys could hear her. She kept her gaze away from the windows, away from the chaos of the outside world, and went through her phone to see who she had on the list. She had very few names. Theodore was one. Uncle Alexander, a giant of a man, with a beautiful smile and sapphire eyes that you could literally melt into. He was adopted into the family as his father was abusive to him, he joined the army, 75th rangers, dog company, which made all of May's family very proud of him, but for some reason he wanted to keep his last name from his previous family. Grady, Private first class Alexander Grady. 'I wonder what he's doing at this point...'

The staff sergeant and the rest of the 75th sat in the lunch room, acting boisterous and happy in the time of need, something terrible had happened to the world, supposedly the dead were coming back to life. ‘I hope my families ok…’ Thought Alex. Suddenly, an extraordinarily loud alarm exploded throughout the walls of the complex, vibrating off of every single area in the room, several of the rangers covered their ears due to the sheer surprise if the alarm, it stopped almost as soon as the noise begun, and was followed by an announcement, which the Big friendly, but lonely giant listened to, soon after getting up and trailing behind the Staff Sergeant and heading to the Battalion commander, little did he know, that the attacks on the living dead had begun already, as evacuations had already begun to happen, and he would be in the big apple soon, NYC…

Everybody was in the back. They all looked scared and tired. So was David. It was a long and a hell of a day.

We all breathed. We were in town now!

Je Lin opened up her book bag, pulling out a pair of scissors and her gym shirt and started to snip into the plain white t-shirt. She didn't talk much to those that were in Corey's vehicle, never have been much of a talker in her short time here in the states. After a minute or so she put away her scissors and what remained of the shirt and tied the piece of her shirt she cut over her face so that it covered her nose and mouth. Everyone else had some sort of weapon that could keep them at least some distance from the corpses, but she only had her own hands since leaving her broom handle behind. She wasn't going to take a chance with some infected blood getting into her mouth or nose. She'd just have to find some sort of goggles later when it was possible.

Theodore opened the car door getting out he looked at the back they all looked at him "I'll be back....".Theodore walked to the front door quietly he tried not to make noise he looked under a plant and grabbed his house key opening the door.He walked in he heard banging coming from upstairs he walked to the closet near the living room and grabbed a steel bat Theodore played baseball as a hobby he never tried out for the team.Hes told he has a "strong swing" he held the baseball tight he walked upstairs silently talking to himself "please god please god help me....i don't wanna die...please let my mom be OK" he walked up and saw his neighbor starring at him like he knew he was coming.Theodore knew that wasn't his neighbor anymore,Theodore was filled with adrenaline and ran as fast as he could sending a destructive blow to the zombies head,blood splattered on the white wall.The zombie was never getting up after that Theodore dropped the bat.He knocked on the bedroom door "It's OK mom it's me Theodore..he's gone".The door opened Theodore's mom came out crying and hugged Theodore they both held on to each other "Mom i was so scared i love you...i should've stayed...". Theodore's mom kissed him"No it's OK....You saved me...."


Theodore walked out with his mom and the steel bat he opened the door for her and let her sit in the middle of David and him,Theodore drove away he looked at David "Mom this is David,David this is mom...where are we going next David?"

As the F-250 emerged bloodied from the horde, the Scout took an abrupt turn, splitting away from it. As the Scout continued, the buildings of the different small companies thinned out, eventually turning into large houses. The rich neighborhood.
The Scout pulled into a driveway behind a Mercedes sports car. Corey opened the door, "I'll only be a few minutes."
Corey ran into the house, stopping in the kitchen to read a note, then he moved up to his room.
After emptying his closet, and dismantling most of his airsoft M4, he stood up.
He dropped to his knees, sliding on the ground to his parent's closet.

The last touch, Corey's safety glasses, military-issue Oakleys.

His sweatshirt was missing as he walked out of the house. He was wearing a tactical vest, loaded with 10 round AR-15 mags and 1911 magazines. His hands were covered with black carbon-knuckle gloves, his right hand holding a duffel bag, then on his back was his hunting rifle. A semi-auto scoped AR-15 chambered in 5.56, loaded up with MAGPUL accessories, and in his tight holster, a black 1911.
