Hahaha... my attention was just drawn to this thread. If you're gonna say that this place is a pecking order for morons then maybe you should think twice about reminding everyone that you're at the top every time you don't get your way.

I'm gonna be out on my ass any day now. lol.

Oh well. I've been on my best behavior for the longest time unless I really get pushed, because I'd like this forum to grow even if it means coddling a few dummies here and there, and suddenly I see that we're all just a bunch of morons anyways to the people who run this joint?

Wither and die, then.

I wrote this some time ago and I think it should be mandatory reading.

Surviving on a forum

In some ways a forum mirrors the real world.
You can't just walk up and expect to be one of the guys.
Take some time and let people get to know you.
Don't try to come off like the ultimate Zombie killing machine and don't be so sure we can't tell how old you are.

On any forum there are usually some genuinely nice people and some that are cranky but if approached properly they may prove to be font of knowledge and more than willing to share it.

Try not to beat the dead horse to much, if you think of it then it has probably already been discussed.
Don't be afraid to bring it up again but don't expect a lively discussion.

We understand not everyone here is even old enough to buy a gun but don't act juvenile or we will ridicule you.
Remember the "classic" method of killing Zombies is to shoot them in the head so many of us are "gun guys".
Some of the guys here are the real deal, you will figure out who they are in short order.

We understand guns are fiendishly expensive and don't expect you to have a huge collection.
Feel free to ask questions, there is a lot of knowledge and experience to draw on here.
Don't lie about having guns, it will only hurt your reputation if you are found out.

Pretending to be a vet will get you in trouble faster than "a speeding bullet".
There are more than a few vets here so don't think you can pretend to be something you are not.
They will find you in short order and ridicule you till your head explodes.

If you see what appears to be a real discussion don't azz it up unless you are prepared to take the heat for it.
Keep in mind what is friendly banter among forum friends can be seen as fighting words from a stranger.

Don't come in thinking you are going to impress us with your two machetes and phony Katana.
Best case scenario you will be ignored, worst case there will be a real swordsman who will ridicule you mercilessly.

Don't think coming in and bragging about what a bad azz you are will impress us.
We will take turns ridiculing you and we will pass you around like a prison biotch.

On the internet everyone is ten feet tall and covered with hair.
Everyone will tell you they can throw a car six city blocks.
Everyone is a master level sniper.
Everyone has a hundred plus guns.
Everyone is / was special forces.
I think you get the idea if not then leave now...

If someone says something that "hurts your feels" don't slink off and pout.
Man up, and remember sometimes the correct response is "Frack You".
Used properly in Man speak that means, "ok you are right but don't expect me to admit it, now leave me alone" but be careful, used improperly it will get your head ripped off and offal shoved down your neck.

On every forum I have ever been on there are some old dogs that spend most of their time on the porch but if provoked will bite your head off.
Then there is the chihuahua pack that yaps constantly.
When the chihuahuas smell blood "a moderator chastising one of the old dogs" they will swarm in feeling safe in talking smack.
Often times the old dog will move on or be banned and they are safe.
However sometimes he will survive and then it is very bad to be a chihuahua.

Wise words and mostly common sense. Too bad that's in short supply.

On topic. I'd totally buy all the booze and all the ammo on stolen credit cards. doesn't matter does it?

then I'd hunt down everyone who's done me wrong. yeah! vengeance!

then I'd go girlin' hardcore, that's just how I roll

then I'd go find me a prius. prius is totally the way to go

then i'd go to an abortion clinic, so I could go girlin' hardcore. they're down, yeah?

then I'd set up Tent City on my roof, and prepare for HATE FEST!

Really, if you are waiting to take action until you know for certain what we all know deep down, then you probably don't have good odds. We can call the religious fanatics nut jobs all day, but those people who already have storm shelters, weapons, canned goods, and survivors ready for the biblical apocalypse will probably out live us all. We could take a note from them when it comes to preparation for ZDAY.

Those that are looking forward to a biblical apocalypse may be less prepared because they're expecting to be one of the chosen ones.

Ah, this is true, but they are usually so paranoid about disasters and terrorism that they prepare for everything.

We can watch it from Tent City. LOL! Heaven knows, I'm not going up. After a brief stay, I'm heading over to Serenity--gotta get my place up and running.
