Matt -You could always tag on "Survival guru" to your job title. I think that could generate interest which would give you a better shot of getting onto the show. People would want to watch to see if you could actually do anything, or watch because they want to see you bomb because of your title.

Haha, I would bomb for sure. I am more of a survival fan than a guru.

It's pathetic that I am literally too poor to go out and live in the woods like a homeless person for a few days. I can't afford to miss the work.

1. What weapons could you fashion from the various junk at hand? There seems to be plenty of metal, wood, plastic, and glass. you might have to fight zombies. Zombies probably won't have a producer telling them when to retreat.
I would diffently try to make some sort of shield or armor so that i cant be biten. Make some spears that have a long reach so I could do them damager before they exactly reach me. Make some Axes and a bow if i can with some arrows.


2. How would you fortify your base, using nothing but debris and junk? It seems to me like you would need a large, protected outdoor perimeter as a work yard (and possibly for growing crops or raising livestock) as well as a strongly barricaded building to fall back to while under major attack and to sleep in. You'll need ways to reinforce your doors, block up your windows, patch up your roof, and put some kind of fence or wall around your yard.
BEST this i can think of regarding safety and marauaders is NOT be where they would look. I would build me a solid frame and put as much JUNK and DEBRIS on it as i could to make it look like JUNK! Even cut up large peices so it wont look good enough to steal. almost make it underground feeling. If they cant see me then they cant get to me.


3. How would you limit contact with outsiders to decrease the risks they pose? So how will you limit contact with outsiders, and how will you deal with people who need quarantined?YES I would limit contact with others simply because I woulnt want them knowing where i live, sleep and store the things i deem useful. Maybe make a separate location simply for quarantine area. or until i trust them enough to let them in my "home"


4. How would you handle non-violent encounters with outsiders? Trade caravans may stop by occasionally, but will probably be looking out for their own best interests rather than providing any sort of fair deals. People may come by from time to time asking for help... do they get turned away, or do they get help? Sometimes these people truly need help, other times they are spies or diversions for larger groups!Handling nonviolent encounters would be dealt with AWAY from my "home" I would NEVER allow anyone i meet outthere to come within a certain radius of my home. Same with a trade caravan. I would meet them someplace far enough away that i could maintain security and safety. since no one will know where i live they shouldnt be showing up at my door asking for help. If i see them away from my home I might come back to help them. offer them some food or supplies and set them up in the quarantine area with LIMITED supplies but NEVER just bring them into my home.

some of the people really peed me off in most seasons. It was more or less a popularity game. "Ohhh Im going to make me a punching bag! or a shower." There was TOO many people doing NOTHING but depending on others to do the work. The same thing goes for the SURVIROR series. Mannnn I wanted to beat some of their butts! "I wanted to tell a few OHHHHHH HECK NO i not feeding you after u layed in the sun ALL day getting your tan! LOL
