I think I got in a fight the first week I was here.
I was involved in several epic battles then VJ came along and got in a string of them also.

What is up these days?
I mean I say 1 slightly harsh thing to a user and he starts crying and leaves.

Didn't you use to say something about yapping Chihuahuas??

i love this site why go on a site and say ot sucks when your the one on it dumbass

It didn't suck when he came here. Since then, the site has been overrun by kids who would be flunking out if they went to school anywhere other than America. Here, we call stupid people "average" and put them on the honor roll.

Considering how fat and dumb this country is getting, I don't think being fit or being smart are luxuries most Americans would have on Z-Day.

You could only wish you were as smart as my ass.
My ass knows it's job and does it well.
I feel certain that is more than we could say about your brain.

You must be Scotch, a member of the McDumbass clan.
Perhaps you live in NH your motto would be "Live Free or Die a Dumbass"
Perhaps you are from Minnesota the land of 10,000 Dumbasses
I could roll manure in powdered sugar and you would think it was a jelly donut.

You have a whopping 27 posts here.
What makes you think you have even the smallest inkling of a clue as to how things were when I got here.
Most of the big boys don't play here anymore, they got tired of super threads and dumbasses.
I just have a higher tolerance than most people.

Bob, raising the tolerance for stupid to new levels.

I've always taken pride in the fact that I grew up and modeled myself after my grandpa, he is still one of my heroes, he's 65 and still working, he's actually my boss, I think that if you don't model yourself after, or are someone who is hard working as well as smart, then you should be kicked in the balls with steel toed boots until you are a person like this. I'll supply the boots and the kicking.

I aspire to work hard in everything I do, and I hate school because our education system is shit. That's what the Fuhrer should work on reforming, but enough of politics, the point is, that the French are fairly right about Americans, most of us are fat, lazy, and much of my generation is stupid as well as the former two. I hate having to agree with the French, it pisses me off.
A vast majority of this very same generation would fvcking die in a ZPAW, growing up on video games and poor education, and whatever the hell they all do has created an era of stupid.

i always hear brain beats brawn but is this always the case? in a Zed filled world would being physcially strong :x give you a better advantage than being intteligent?

LOL that might be somewhat right but I know for a fact that MOST of the fittest people i know are just downright lazy! And some who give up too easy. So maybe not ALL of the Fittest will survive and not alll of the fatties will be chased down on a football field.

note to self: stay out of footbell feields! lol

Smart will outdo strong in most competitions of survival, but toughness is different. If you aint tough as woodpecker lips I reckon that life will be hard in the ZPAW. And I dont mean just plain physical toughness, I mean mentally tough more than anything.

As silly as WWZ was in some places, I am reminded of Weinio's story about the battle of Hope, about how soldiers didn't look the same anymore because they weren't necessarily very fit young men. "Anyone who couldn't roll wouldn't have lasted this long in the first place".

You can be fit enough to run marathons. But if you're running somewhere stupid like Walmart or "The Mall" because of the movies, all that amounts to is dying faster.

Very true. However if you find yourself carrying your gear then being able to carry thaf load requires a certain amount of toughness. Things like being able to sprint two hundred yards, lift your bodyweight over a wall or fence, and to do it all tired are the kind of physical toughness you would need. Also, being able to mentally say "Im dead tired but this has gotta be done." Is the mental toughness you need. Being able to push yourself that much further because it has to be done. That trait may be a little harder to come by than physical toughness.

I think you have to be mentally tough. Its like the military, you can be fit, but if you aren't mentally fit you are screwed.

(Paraphrasing Black) So the next time you see kids playing outside your house, you can go out and scream at them "Get outta here you little ****!!", and it'll be just like taking vitamins!

Sounds very important, so I'm asking the obvious question here: How would one go about developing mental toughness?

I think it is partially natural, partially your upbringing and experiences, and partially your general demeanor towards life.

I think it also is a matter of challenging yourself to do harder and harder things until eventually youre able to say "F**k it, there's nothing I can't do."

I frequently have done that and I've gotten to the point where I actually get excited when Im about to do something really challenging.

Sounds great KN, I'm confident you'll make your country and the people you serve with proud.

So basically "mental toughness" is the same as psychological resilience. I've read about it but didn't remember it until now since we didn't really study it (yes my uni was that bad). There should be enough APA articles about it in the redalyc databases I use to write a little primer on it.

Well, some of us are a whole lot older than that. I think Bob might have actually fought in the civil war
