Bob: You seem like a passionate guy - I think if there was a zombie apocalypse, I'd want you around. We're not out to make political statements - although zombie movies have a history of doing just that. Romero's best all had social and political commentary. The genre lends itself to that type of social dissection. We're just trying to tell a compelling and exciting human survival story...with zombies.

Just remember this;
Many of the Zombie fans are also gun people.
Almost all of the gun forums discuss Zombies.
Many of them have sections dedicated to Zombies.
In certain parts of the country guns may be hard to come by Ma. comes to mind.

In much of the country they are very very common.
Just please don't be silly with them like so many movies are.
Speaking for the little people, some realism would be appreciated.
Most of the Zombie movies are primers in what not to do.
I / we feel if you watch certain Zombie movies and then do exactly the opposite of what they do in the movie you improve your chances of survival.

Please don't turn this into some sort of political statement against firearms.
Guns don't kill people.
People kill people.

Guns are machines just like cars and cars kill more people than guns do.
Does this make cars evil?
Should cars be banned?
Are cars that are faster or more powerful more evil that other cars?
Are cars that are painted black more evil than cars that are blue or red?
Are cars primarily used by the military more evil than civilian cars?

In my town a few years ago a girl ran down her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend, killed them both.
Where were the liberal pansies screaming that cars should be banned?
A two ton vehicle makes a hell of a weapon.
On an average day how many pedestrians could you mow down before you disabled your personal vehicle?
It's not the machine, it's the person controlling it.

If you are going to portray blue collar and white collar workers then portray us correctly.

I have so many opinions on dealing with zombies that I could go on for pages so I will just stop now.
Oh and just for general information I am not a teenager I may be older than your father.

How about this.... You let him do whatever he wants to do and you make a Zombie show about what ever you want to make one about.

Also bravo to Lifeless.... I'm very impressed and must say abit jealous. My show has been stuck in pre production hell for a number of years. It is nice to see a kindred spirit doing it well.

How about you mind your own business.
I don't recall speaking to you.

He is obviously going to do exactly what he wants to do.
That's ok with me, I was just looking for reassurance that there was not going to be some sort of anti-gun undertone.

Please don't ass up this thread by trying to pick a fight just because you don't agree with what I have to say.

I recall you posting on an open forum... But you come on spewing political FOX brainwash on a thread that is not about politics. I found that irritating but acceptable... The issue I take is this "Dont do this or that with you art." You didnt simply ask if there was a socio-political message you made a request he not do something with his art. That is unacceptable in my view... Not to mention defeating one of the things that make art relevant... The write to express one's self and to reflect.

And in my opinion the best films in the genre had a brain and were not simply about the dead returning to life.

This doesn't have to be a fight...

I think RG makes a valid point here. This is Lifeless's production, and he's telling the story the way he sees fit. If you don't agree with his style of film making, or if you have a problem with the message the story is trying to convey, then don't watch it and walk away. This thread shouldn't be introducing ethical or political issues into the conversation. So let's please move on. Posted Image

Well, for what it's worth, I second the notion for lots of guns. Just a humble request from an interested potential future viewer. :-)

I think that realistically, guns would come into the picture pretty quickly. Even in the countries where civilians don't normally have them, you'd still have plenty of dead cops and soldiers lying around. Or walking around.

Of course, it's not my show. But if it were there would be guns.

Side note: I was hoping like hell I'd get to see that kid beat down at least one zombie with that bat...

Man, I don't think there should be lots of guns, but a reasonable amount(one or two per person) I'm a blue collar worker just like my dad was, and he owns guns, and as soon as I turn eighteen, so will I. By all means man, do whatever you please, it's your gig, I just don't want people kickin' Bob's teeth in because he wants our kind to be portrayed improperly.

I know that Rickgrime has a valid point, but seriously, jumpin on Bob because he stated this:
"Please don't turn this into some sort of political statement against firearms.
Guns don't kill people.
People kill people."

I don't want this to be some political statement, he just feels that a gun is a tool that many American men and women have, just like a hammer or drill.

BZN, I know you're some authoritative figure and all, and I say this with all due respect, but Bob is just makin a point, and not trying to start a fight, so lighten up on the man a little.

Go ahead and hate on me all you want, I don't give a damn, at least this way there's three of us backing the notion that there should be a reasonable number of guns in the films.

What have you people been smoking? :?

The thread topic is about "Lifeless the Series." It's not an open debate concerning firearms. Has anyone here ever heard of the term "OFF TOPIC?" :loon:

Bob shouldn't have brought up the subject in the first place.

Now let's get back to discussing 'Lifeless the Series'

Please understand I meant no harm or disrespect to you.
I think the small segment I have seen is absolutely awesome. I hope it gets picked up by a major network and you wind up rich and famous. (if that is your desire)

Everyone else

I thought I was making a request, offering an opinion and supporting my opinion.

I did not realize that as a commoner I should not attempt to influence ART.

I won't make the same mistake again.
Next time someone puts urine in a bucket with a crucifix and calls it ART I won't comment on how ridiculous it is.

Oh and as for fighting, I never imagined I was going to upset anyone. Those who have interacted with or been forced to monitor me know there is generally no doubt about my intentions.

I am done now and probably won't be back to this thread.
I will head on back to where I came from, hopefully not scraping to much skin off my knuckles from dragging them on the pavement...

I usually smoke Kools actually, but it's been a bit since I've had one.

Lifeless seems pretty cool from what I saw, I think that you did a good job man.

I just watched the five minute video, and I really LOVED it.

I hope that you can get this on HBO or maybe PPV.

I would buy into HBO just to watch this series.
