Making soap is actually a good skill. Glycerin is actually a bi-product of the process? This gives you access to many kinds of explosives!

Hey, we might just end up using horses at one point or another so that's a semi-useful skill to have. :)

No, it doesn't.
Just two, nitroglycerin and dynamite, and I don't know where you would get the proper grade nitric and sulfuric acids, since it takes relatively strong (I.E. pure) acids to make a proper nitrification mixture. Impurities in the glycerin would also make the nitro even more unstable, and on its own it's already too unstable to use it comfortably on the field.
Then you'd need an alkaline solution to neutralize the excess acid on nitro (to stabilize) and probably you also want kieselguhr or some other sort of chemically inert absorbent material to (again) make it stable and not have to carry liquid nitro. Nitrification's an exothermic reaction which produces heat that might detonate the compound prematurely, so you need to keep it refrigerated to keep it under control (even though it slows down the reaction itself making the process take longer), which is going to be hard to do without constant, reliable supplies of electric power.
I think I might have said too much...
"Imagine"? "nothing to kill or die for"? Having nothing worth dying for, or killing for, is having nothing worth living for.

Probably not. Oh! Random thought, did anyone watch that video of Saddam getting hanged on Youtube? The look on his face is priceless when he feels the trap door fall. He was all like, "they're not going to do this, nawwww....Oh Sh*t!"

See, but thats the scientific way of using glycerin in explosives. There are other alternatives that don't work as well, but are still useful.
But glycerin is still a good thing to have around. It has a bunch of uses other than being an ingredient to blow things up.

Awww, that's so sweet, thank you. All in all, if you watch it again, you'll see my observations are correct. I thought it was hilarious myself.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry or put you in an institution. I think all do them all.

OH! Random thought...again. What if you threw a zed into a tank of piranha? Would they zed out or would it just cloud the water?

Ah hah! A little research from YahooAnswers.com brought this up.
I don't suggest trying it, but there's the knowledge anyway.

get you some info on picric acid ... you can get it from purifying fertile soil ... you can then get nitric acid from that .... you can boil off and concentrate sulfuric acid from car batteries .... once you have a half gallon of each (which will take awhile and some effort) go to walmart and pick you up about a quarts worth of glycerine from the pharmacy shelf .... now just get you a thermometer and some ice and research alittle on nitro-glycerine
I don't suggest trying it, but there's the knowledge anyway.
