watched the cave again. apart from the over the top good looking cast and a few WTF moments I like it.

Watched The Yanks lose the rubber game in the series yesterday with the Red Sox, 8-5
That's OK... There's only 149 games left in the season.
Presently watching the Yankees beating the D-Rays 7-2 after 5. :)

AVP - 2nd watch and I liked it even more this time. I really have no complaints about it. Lots of Alien & Predator action for a popcorn munchin' beer drinking good time.
AVP-R - Ugh! I really expected to enjoy this one but some idiot left the lens cap on!!! Seriously, it's so dark all you get to see is the the silhouetted outlines of the Aliens & Predators and when there is a little bit of light, the camera is moving to fast to catch any details. I was looking forward to seeing the 'Pralien' but only got a Rorschach ink blot. It sucked! 2/5 stars. I would have given 3/5 just for the monster action, had I been able to see it.

I just watched...
The Great Yokai War - WOW! Literally thousands of monsters & strange creatures (Yokai) and robotic hybrids. This has somewhat of a live action anime feel to it. The story is decent and the makeup and effects are very cool, however there are some not so great cgi moments but not enough to take away from the overall fun of this flick. If you are a sucker for strange Japanese monsters then this is a must see!

Starship Troopers 2 - Much better than what I was expecting. I did miss the Mentos commercial feel of the first one but I still enjoyed it.

[Rec] - Good solid film. It didn't blow me away, but was damn entertaining and will definitely be getting purchased when it hits DVD
RE Extinction - Not as bad as I expected but still poor. The ending made me want to vomit blood :puke:
Planet Terror - Great fun, excellent over-the-top zombie action
Rise of the Footsoldier - Damn good British gangster flick, very gritty and dark.
House of 1000 Corpses - Well that was wierd! Nothing special, and definatley not as good as The Devils Rejects
2001 Maniacs - I thought this was a lot of fun, Robert Englund was on top form and it had some nice inventive deaths.

Ultraman (ep. 10-14)
Tetsuo: The Iron Man - Think Darren Aronofsky's PI meets Meatball Machine in the industrial zone and is then attacked by Jan Svankmajer. This is a very strange but very entertaining piece of art. There is not allot of story but the visuals alone are enough to keep Sigmund Freud busy for a week. Good stuff.

Space Amoeba (aka Yog: Monster from Space) - Sentient space dust (amoeba) comes to earth and turns a squid, a crab and a turtle into giant, island stomping monsters. Good fun.
April Fools Day - The characters annoyed the shit out of me for the first 30 minutes or so but it turned out to be pretty darn entertaining. It wasn't quite as effective as it could have been because the documentary, Going To Pieces fed me a spoiler, but it still worked on me.
