I should be okay temporarily. Admittedly I'm only 14, but I'm stocked on Airsofts and I have blades and other melee weapons.

Grab the pistol, sledgehammer, handaxe and two kitchen knives. Steal car from next door (they're out atm) drive to friends, pick him and his armory up. Then it's 5 minute drive (depending on speed) to the hunting shop to steal some real firepower and proper close-combat weaponry.

I'd say half-an-hour maximum.

I would maybe take a minivan or an SUV and get some more of my friends, depending on who's not being a ***** today.

You're basing alot of your plan on stealing things from other people. What will you do if those folks take umbrage at your attempted theft, especially those who own (and will probably be at) the hunting shop? Does it bother you that you might be taking an item that the owner may need for his own survival?

We wouldn't be taking everything. Only one pistol each plus two blades.

That plan was only if there's an outbreak before I get a chance to stock on some firepower when I'm old enough. I'll write another plan for later in life.

You really didn't answer the questions. What would you do if you broke into the hunting store, reached for one each of those pistols, and found one stuck in your ear by the owner of the establishment?

Bob if it was your shop they wouldn't even be able to break the window behind the security bars.

Jake, I don't know how things are round your neck of the woods but people don't take kindly to theft round here. It bought me a pair of brass knuckles upside the nose once. Broke my nose. I was about your age too.

Rely on what you have, not what you can steal. What kind of blades do you have?

I've said it before, you folks who are depending on taking the means to survive from others, will have a real dumb look on your face as you're lying on the floor bleeding to death, wondering what went wrong with your plan when your perceived victims defended themselves and their families, with the very tools you were going to take away from them.
"You can never have too many guns, yo-yos, or crayons"- Mrs. Hotlead speaking to my Nephew Easter morning.

"Yeah, your 9mm "might" expand when it hits the target, but my .45 sure as hell won't shrink."- Me argueing with my Brother about pistol calibers.

i agree with hotlead im not too old either but my family has stocked some guns and trust me im pretty much a gun geek i know alot about guns
we have a m1897 trench gun 12ga:evil:., a winchester .303, a henry .22 rimfire, and a beautiful double barrel over and under 12 ga. browning.
grab those along w/ my survival kit composed of cpr mask, 5 space blankets, 15-20 hand warmers, 5 tins of waterproof matches, rope, various medicines, a little bit of non-perishables and a big knife. of course cant forget my ammunition for the guns we have about 2&1/2 boxes of 12 ga. ammo, not too much on the .303 about 7-8 rounds, and about 85 .22 rounds. the .22 holds about 17 rds, the .303 i think 8, the trench gun holds 5 12 ga., and the dbl barrel obviously holds 2
all in all about 20min to get everything ready and a 20min drive to where we wanna go
give me an idea of what you think

I took this picture especially for you Jake. The bullet is a .22lr, says Super X on the bottom. Generally regarded as the most useless bullets around. For our purposes here anyway. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good varmint gun, but it's pretty useless otherwise. If you're only used to airsoft guns, then this is about all you're gonna be used to. If you think Airsoft guns are going to be useful, then you're sorely mistaken.

Now like Bob said, if it was his shop, you wouldn't pass through the security bars. The same goes for just about any owner, they're gonna wanna protect their valuables. At any cost. Even if it means shooting a band of punk ass teenagers. You'd probably be better off knocking at the front door and asking for some stuff.

Now I'll ask again, what kind of blades and melee weapons do you have?

My 'First hour' is going to be a little different now that my circumstances have changed a little, but over all it's going to involve securing my close friends and a place for us to hide out until the initial ruckus is over.

IMHO the only way the gunshop owner would not be there is if he had already bugged out.
Do not underestimate the firepower of semi-auto ARs and AKs in the hands of men who are ready to do harm.

Don't underestimate the power of any weapon in the hands of someone who is ready to do harm. Sure, he may have a revolver, but that's six more bullets than you have. And if he's trying to protect himself and his, then he's going to make damn sure that all six of those bullets hits home.

ok if a zombie stepped in your door RIGHT NOW what would you do, would you run? or grab the nearest blunt object, or even run to get one of your weapons.
personally i would throw my mouse at them and then grab the house phone and throw that at them and then throw some batteries and run to get my katana out of my room. and then beat it to death with the blunt side of the katana

I'd probably just sit there until I realized what is happening.
Then I'd look over at my friend Jon (comander shaw) who is right next to me, and then scream.

Most likely, I'd run away through the other doorways. :scare:

What would Bob do?
Well assuming I am not wearing pants (pajamas and sweats in the house don't count) which is the only time I am not carrying...
Bob would open the middle desk drawer grab a Glock and take care of business.

Bobs next move would be to the hall closet ten feet away grab the go to rifle slam in a mag and really take care of business.
It has 4 loaded mags in the case so that would be 120 rounds of 223 ready to go.
By then the lazy ass son would be opening up the safe grabbing another AR and more loaded mags.
While this was going on my wife would be screaming at me to stop shooting people.

Only reason I'm kicking him out is cause he didn't knock.

Literally, *right now?*

Well, my first reaction - since there is no known zombie outbreak happening right now - would be to call 911 because I would be more inclined to think "Holy shit, somebody effed this guy up bad!" than "Zombie! Kill it!"

However, let's assume that for whatever reason I already know this is a zombie.

As a matter of random chance, there's a single 7.63x54R round sitting on my computer desk and an unloaded Mosin Nagant rifle on the floor beside me. I was showing my friend the rifle, and the big honkin' round that it takes.

I'd probably give the zombie a buttstroke to the hips to knock it backwards and off balance, and while it recovered I would load my one round into the Mosin. I'd deliver Dr. Nagant's All-Purpose Anti-Viral Medicine Capsule (Active Ingredient: Lead) directly to the shambler's brain.

Then I would thank fate for only sending me one zombie, because my other rounds are stored in a less accessible location (sort of like this one would be if I hadn't just been showing it to somebody.)

If it came in the door to the room I'm in now. I would have to fight it. Or jump out the window of my apartment. Most likely I would be knuckle to tooth with a zombie.

First I'd take a second to make sure it actually is a zombie and not my brother made up to look like one, if it's the former then I'd reach for the machete on my desk and kick the chair into it's legs hopefully tripping it up. If it stays standing I'd try to knock it's arms away then go for the neck with the machete, if it falls I'd jump over to the chest of drawers, grab my bokuto and beat it's head against the floor till it's half crushed.

If I survive that I contact some people and tell them what's going on, if I don't I spend my last moments cursing my tiny room that left me within arm's reach of a zombie.
