Sorry I have not been around. I think its been a few years. Sort of forgot how to find the forum lol oops. :duh:

I saw this today. An Eli Roth movie and it was awesome and more bloody than the bloodiest zombie movie. I do not know how to talk about my excitement without giving spoilers but its basically a bunch of college students crash in the Rain Forest and get captured by cannibals and everything bad your imagination can come up with in this senerio happens. One thing I appreciate about this movie is they did not jump into the gore but he took the time to tell a story first and alowed you to get to know the characters first. I consider myself numb to horror and nothing suprises or shocks me anymore but I tell you this movie made me want to turn my head and not look. Do not pay attention to bad critic reviews. This kind of movie was made for the true horror lovers.

I've been told the film is on the same levels as Cannibal Holocaust. Is this true?

I literally cannot find this available anywhere near me, and even Amazon Canada does not carry it. I wonder if it is too gory for the Canadian market?

Saw this opening weekend and I give it a 3 out of 10. Terrible acting, terrible pacing, extremely little gore, and just full of terrible decisions. Also, none of the cast had any sense of urgency especially during the SPOILERRRRRSSSSSSSSS almost drowning scene.

I'm really wanting to see this, I know Eli was going for CH type movie being a major fan himself, that being said I don't think any film could compete with the shock when CH came out, people actually believed that it was a snuff film, that could never happen in this day & age where people can see anything they want to on the net.

Re-released? I watched it through TMN in Canada (similar to / aligned with HBO), and it looks like it was released on Amazon last January.

I liked it, a good tense cannibal horror that was not overly cheesy, and felt like it could actually happen.

I was ready to give up on Roth after Knock Knock, but he came through with GI.
