I searched but couldn't find a thread on it.

This is a classic re-telling of a classic movie but in a lot of ways i prefer this to the original, i like the way they changed the story to fit in with time it came out & the Barbara character was far better than the screaming wreck in the original. The casting for the movie IMO was perfect & was the first time I saw Tony Todd who went on to some of my other faves like Candyman & Mr. Bludworth in the Final Destination movies. The only exception to this I think was the casting of 13 year old Heather Mazur as Sarah Cooper, I always thought she looked older than the girl they she was portraying, she was dressed more like an 8 year old rather than 13 years old she was. That aside this is one of my top zombie flicks of all time that I like to revisit from time to time.

I totally agree dead, I also don't think the movie has really dated compared to some.

Definitely prefer this to the original and definitely prefer this Barbara too. She's pretty awesome.

After rewatching it recently I can't say I hate it but it coulda been better.

What do you feel could have been better about it & do you think it was not as good as the original?
