A totally senseless tragedy. They should have never released the killers name as it was recognition that he wanted.

This is creepy! Read above link about a young news reporter who survived a mall shooting last month and was killed last night in the massaacre and her tweet moments before she was killed.

Yeah, god forbid that taxpayer money goes towards saving lives... it should go towards tax breaks for millionaires and multinational corporations.

Scanning at the movies will never happen, if it does the theaters will be picking up the tab and charging more for tickets.

That place isn't too far from where I live actually. Not the cheapest or even the closest theater but it is the closest one to me that does Midnight releases. Different circumstance, different movie... No not even a different movie necessarily I saw the midnight release of the first Dark Knight there, and Avengers... Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3... Quite a few movies really. If I'd had more interest in the new batman and hadn't been piss drunk I could have been there even. Had my mother calling me up all frantically the second she heard about it on the news dragging me out of bed just so I could tell her I was way to drunk to go see a movie last night. Beer FTW.

Almost a shame I wasn't there. I've got my concealed carry, Me or the Little Lady both would have shot his ass...

I already saw news stories yesterday where they were using this turd smear as the new poster boy to pass the UN Small Arms Treaty here in the USA. For those that don't know it is being hashed out in New York right now. It calls for first registration, then confiscation, and finally imprisonment for anyone who doesn't obey. But it is only for the common folk, governmental agencies get to keep their weapons. So governments like Sudan, Iran, Communist China, Burma, etc.. their "police" and military get to keep their weapons and any of their citizens that have them will now be in violation of international law and not just the laws of their loving regime. The White House has come out in support of it and Congress has told them there is no way they will pass it because it is a HUGE violation of our Constitution.

I suspect the push for this will be even worse now with pictures of Trayvon Martin and the massacre victims plastered everywhere to guilt trip those of us that own firearms legally and who do not violate the law.

I find this extrordinarily hard to believe considering that it is an Arms TRADE treaty. This does sound like quite the whole scare tactic hoaxy thing. Obviously, somebody has informed you wrong that doesnt understand the United Nations Charter and seems to believe Obama is after your guns despite their being ZERO legislation to prove that. Not only that, but UN treaties and resolutions are NON-Binding.

Its just a giant scare tactic. Nobody is coming to get your guns.
