I guess this makes me the FNG. Damn.

As it says, my name is Zom (three guesses what that's short for). I'm a full-time customer service representative and part-time freelance writer fueled by Monster Khaos and a difficult love-hate relationship for nicotine (ala "I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me"). Zombies are something I've had a fascination with for about four years now, and I've even taken to writing a book about them from a "hard science fiction" standpoint. From that, you can probably tell that I don't necessarily believe in a mass uprising of corpses, but I do believe that zombie-like humans are entirely possible (insert some pithy remark about politics or *gasp* religion here). Despite my skepticism about an uprising of the Undead, I do think zombies can be great fun, as well as a pseudo-practical scenario for survival preparation and education.

On a more personal note, I'm twenty-seven and I live in Colorado. I'm hoping to move to Florida and quit my "day job" to become a freelance published author, but we'll see how that goes. On my weekends when I'm not working on my book, I enjoy gaming and reading, as well as the occasional movie. I'm also a sucker for dataz, so if you hand me anything that requires calculation, I'll go missing for a few days and reemerge with something on an Excel spreadsheet, complete with color coding and filters. I do have several disabilities for which I'm seeking government money (read: SSA benefits), just because I find it difficult to stand or sit for long periods of time without bleeding from some place I'd rather not.

If you have any question whatsoever, I'm pretty open, so feel free to let curiosity kill the cat.
