Does anyone think a high voltage stun gun be able to kill a zombie or at least incapacitated if applied to the head?

No. The mechanics of personal defense tasers are such that they are designed not to kill people and thus would not kill a zombie.

Since a taser works by disrupting the brain's ability to send commands to the muscles, I think the zombie will be immobilized as long as the electric shock continues to be applied, but once the current stops the zombie will immediately regain full control. Normal people recover slowly because they continue to experience pain after the current stops. Zombies don't have that problem.

I don't think any sort of stun gun or taser would be powerful to outright kill a zombie and fry the brain, but as Matt said, you could at least knock it down and disable it for a second or two. I would think it's worth a try if you ever had the need to do it.

Actually, 95% of the pain stops almost immediately.

Tasers have nothing to do with the brain. They cause the muscles in the affected area (where the prongs hit) to seize to the point that you can't move. A Taser (as in the type used by LEO) does not depend on pain compliance. They cause the body to stop working the way it wants to, and don't affect the brain at all.

maybe not be right away, I wouldn't be surprised if it were stunned for a little while at least.

<-This guy gets it.

"The probes deployed from a TASER ECD carry fine wires that connect to the target and deliver the TASER into his neural network. These pulses delivered by the TASER ECD overwhelm the normal nerve traffic, causing involuntary muscle contractions and impairment of motor skills." - From Taser's own web site.

Tasers work by overwhelming the NERVOUS SYSTEM which is why it causes muscles to seize.

She was smart. The clips hurt worse. You don't even feel the probes going in or out when you are shot with them. Also the clips leave a burn mark. the probes dont.
