How can zeds possibly rise out of a grave,one how would they get infected,u have to get bit to get infected,2 even if they did how would they break through a steel or wood coffin 6 feet underground!?!?

yeah good thought man. i was thinking the same thing. eventually they probably would get out. but itd take them ages. its weird they all get out at the same time. perhaps the virus went underground and through the soil? who knows..

ya but doesnt the virus (assuming there is a virus causing it) have infect a LIVING host? wtf would a living person be doing six under? even if somone was buried alive, what are the odds that he gets infected?

I don't think they could get out of their coffins. I went to a funeral where the coffin was placed in a cement sarcophagus and then buried. If a zombie can get past that, it deserves to get out!!!

There's a simple answer, they can't, it's physically impossible and inconsistent and it was made for shock in the movies. It's six feet of dirt pushing against solid wood and they can't even bring down a door if it's boarded.

A normal uninfected person can not escape. Zed's don't have special powers or anything. They are just normal people, except for the tiny fact that they are living and dead. But, they have the same strength and what not if not a little weaker than if they were alive. So they can't bust out of a coffin.

Well I guess if you cannot kill Return of the Living Dead zombies, then I guess they can come out of the grave. You cant stop a brain junkie from getting thier fix.

I really disliked this about ROTLD, why bother if you can't even kill them.

As for zeds crawling out of the grave....hate it. Zombi was stupid for this reason... well there are other reasons why i didn't like it but thats another thread. Voodoo

Tru dat!!When i was younger we used to hangout in a cemetery near my house. It was cool because it was off the beaten path so no one bothered us. Of course with all the monster movies I've seen, i did a pretty good job of creeping myself out.

Well in 16th century england, the dead used to get burried with a bell in their coffins, the scary thing is at least ten times a year that bell would start a clanging.

Yep, it was relatively common to accidentally bury someone who wasn't dead yet. Those were pre-modern medicine times.
