Resident Evil 5

Well, it's July now. One can only assume we'll have some new update soon....

It is possible that the hero can be Carlos Olivera. Resident Evil: Nemesis made him look kinda stupid, but Apocalypse really made me appreciate him a little bit more XD It should be Chris though. I mean, he shares my name! WHOOP!

It would make sense to have Carlos, as it is in South America or some Latin country, unless it has changed dramatically since I last checked this thread?

I don't care who's playing the lead, I just hope Jill Valentine is in it! She was a playable character with both Chris (RE1, RE remake) and Carlos (RE3: Nemesis), so if she popped up in the game like Ada did in RE4, it could make the game a lot moreinteresting.

Main character? I've been looking at the trailer and to me it looks like Chris, and if it is Chris, then chances are there will be Jill, or even Claire. I'm not so in tune with the storyline, I just love RE2 & 4, and those are the only ones I've played, the fourth is the only one I've beaten (I suck at RE2 ).

If this game has zombies, AND the kickass gameplay of RE4, then we're in for a groovy time, simple as that. I thought the Las Plagas thing was fantastic! Reminded me of John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1981), which is my #3 sci-fi movie as of yet (Alien and Aliens still take it), but I'd say it's time to move back to zombies, because they are my first and true love.

2 things have been bugging me, though;
1) The only taste of chainsaw RE fans have seen have been the Bella Sisters and Dr. Salvadore, both in RE4. When will WE get to do the rampaging?

I looked it up on wikipedia (no joke) and they were saying that some folks were seeing him as Chris Redfield, some saw him as Billy Coen (although it was also pointed out that Billy has tattos on his arms and this guy doesn't). Get this, Capcom said that the character will be "someone they are very fond of", so Hunk could very well be the main character. I was looking at pictures of his face on Google, and some match, some don't (some pictures depict him as blonde). As for the epilogue, the new setting is a desert town, and Hunk is on a helicopter, so there ya go.

The atmoshpere will be a "marriage of the action seen in Resident Evil 4, with the atmosphere and gameplay themes of the classic Resident Evil games"

The new zombies are 28 Days Later-esque, and run at you

There's a new virus involved, could be similar to Las Plagas

The player will be battling heat (not so sure I like that)

Player starts with knife and pistol w/ laser, meaning RE4 gameplay will probably be returning

I wonder if you can play as Tofu as well?

I think parts 5 and 'Wii' will be interconnected. I don't know why that is, but I just have a hunch about it. Chris is said to be involved with both games.

I'm rather skeptical about the Wii RE. If they have perfected their new controller so that they don't pull another "Power Glove" it could be good, but if not...

Yes, Chris redfield will be your playable character for Resident evil 5, there is mention of Jack Krauser and Albert Wesker returning

And the town is Brazil, I went to a few cons XD and, I heard the same, BIlly Coen might run into Chris in this game. Should be good eh?

No No No, Game informer and the creator of the game, alreayd revealed that Chris is the main Character, and some point eiher Krauser or Wesker will be in the game, and IT IS PLAYABLE AS HUNK but the main character is Chris Redfield, and this is Hunks first non side game role

If you have ever completed Resident Evil Outbreak, then you'll certainly have seen Nicholai standing over a fallen Raccoon City after it was nuked by the missle. Therefore he did survive the disaster, contrary to popular belief. I'd like to see Nicholai as the villain once more. I'm sure he will re-appear once Jill comes back into the picture. God only knows when that will happen, though.

oh man that game is a peice of crap(outbreak)...Im not taking the word of that game...I still belive he dies in RE:3...
