View Full Version : Dawn of The Dead 2004 DVD NEWS REPORT
...on the Remake DVD.
It's pretty good. I love the scene were that weird army guy is teaching you how to shoot the zombies. I'd love to see more NEWS video footage, though.
I wish it was longer, lol.
Oh! And it's always a delight to see Tom Savini ^_^
He really is a good actor.
All in all - great DVD bonus goodies

I think your talking about DOTD 04,. in the extras. The news report was great, so was Andy's tape. The DOTD 04 directors cut dvd has some of the best extras I have seen in a zombie movie dvd. But, I have not seen the DOTD 78 box set yet. That wierd army guy, the civilian survivalist, A zombie movie based on DOTD 04 type senerio, about him, and his survivalist group, that would be great, they would have some awesome firepower, put in lots of headshots, like Andy's headshot. Have them Assualt, take over a brand new state of the art high security prision that just open. Terminate the few dozen hard core lifers that were just taken there a day before the infections started, and have taken of the joint.

In Andy's case, would it be better to have all those weapons/ammo and no food, Or to have a lot of food, and no weapons/ammo? He should have just keep killing zombies with all that ammo he had, or let Ken know from the start that he had no food. give them time at the mall to work out a plan to get Andy food. Or had a lot of goldfish. are zombie tasty.

It would seem logical for Andy to stand there firing away all day until all the zombies were dead but think about it realistically. For all Andy knows there could be thousands more on the way. Heck, there were already hundreds around the mall near the end which would have taken him days to kill. He would have just given up after a while even if he did have more than enough ammo to kill them all.
I agree with you about letting Ken know about the food earlier. Maybe Andy didn't think there was a way of getting food to him so he didn't bother asking until he was literally starving to death.

I think the only thing Andy really could have done is at night, he sneaks into the sewers like they did in the end, and meet the others and go back to the mall. Other then that, there was no real reasonable way. He had no reason to leave in the beginning, and by the time he realised he had to leave, the streets were just too crowded for him to try to make a run for it. Plus he had no cars around his shop to hotwire, and he couldn't have made it across on foot. Even if he did find a car and get in, the entrances were barricaded.

What I want to know is, how those frat boys got that girl chained up, and a football helmet on her head? That was a pretty scary looking zombie in the mourge.

Who said that they put it on, and chained her up before she became a zombie?

I had a blast with the DOTD'04 News Report. About the time that there was a big commotion over events in Iraq I had some friends over and we weren't even watching the tv but it was on. I switched the channel on the tv to a part in the News Report where I had it paused at without anyone seeing me and everyone started like taking double-takes at the tv and finally said "what the ****"... it's was awesome and worked well on several occasion. The trick is to not start it where they're talking about zombies but near the part about the military guy talking about martial law.
