Hellraiser: Deader - Pseudo Zombie Movie

As many of us have probably seen it on the Sci Fi Channel, “Hellraiser: Deader” is in away a zombie movie. They’re pseudo-zombies, but it’s the thought that counts.

The basic run down and how I get to that is that The Deaders, are the dead brought back to life, but are still rotting and bleeding, and doing all the other things that good zombies do. The only difference (And if you stretch your imagination to believe this :roll: ) is that the ‘zombies’ have human intelligence. (Snide comments about the actor’s jobs aside.)

I own the full franchise on DVD and love MOST of them...this entry was not one of them.

CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAP.

And no, the one that was worse was "Hellworld" the last of the series, so far.

Hellraiser: Deader is installment #7 and in my opinion, part 4 (Bloodline) was the worst in the series. At the very least we get Katheryn Winnick and Lance Henriksen in Hellworld (#8).

Ive seen the first four,and number 4 is so crap, and it kinda put me of the hellraiser films,but maybe ill check out the others now, since that one was the low point.

Here's my recommendations when watching the Hellraiser films...watch these in this order and you'll have a great time.

Hellraiser
Hellbound: Hellraiser 2
Hellraiser: Hellseeker (pt. 6)
Hellraiser: Inferno (pt.5)

If you watch these in order and then stop right there, you'll be doing just fine. These 4 are the best in the series.

BTW, anybody with the Hellraiser: Deader DVD should check out the Hellraiser short film entitled, No More Souls. It's an easter egg on the DVD that can be found by going to page 2 of the specia features, highlighting "Play Movie", hitting down and then hitting right.

The Lament Configuration (Hellraiser box) will light up and the short film will play. Just remember, that's not Doug Bradley playing Pinhead, it's actually Hellraiser FX artist Gary Tunnicliffe.
