Anyone ever hear of this? Here's a link.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0378661/

It sounds pretty cool, just wondering if anyone saw it. And is it in English, or subtitles?

Haven't seen it, but I heard (on the forum) it wasn't that good...

I saw this a few months ago. I really enjoyed it because it's one of those movies, like 'Boys Don't Cry', that made me really sad. There's no brain eating or boarding up of windows in this movie.

This was a VERY different take on the zombie theme. The zombies aren't your typical shambling corpses feasting on human flesh, they're just like living people. They talk, walk around normally, in fact the only real thing that sets them apart from the living is their lack of emotion. I liked this one only because it was such a different kind of movie and once and a while something different should pop up. It's entirely in French though, so I'm not too sure how you feel about reading the whole movie. Just don't go into this one expecting an all out zombie brawl with lots of gore and gushing blood, look elsewhere if that's what you're after.

Okay, we rented this last summer, having never heard of it. It was French, so we thought it'd be interesting enough. The premise seemed amazing! "How do you incorporate these living dead back into everyday lives?"

But I have to say, it ended without any sort of ending. The people watching in the room all gave the same reaction when it ended... "What the crap?"

***Spoilers***

Things just blew up, and the zombie went into a tunnel, and it was over. It didn't say why things blew up, it didn't say what the tunnel was about. It just ended.

You can get the movie at your local library. Atleast I did.

I hate the French by the way:)

I purchased it. I enjoyed it though it wasn't what you'd call "entertaining". It was one of those "thought provoking" type arthouse horror films. Gorehounds, metal heads, knuckle draggers, mouth breathers, slack jawed yokels and breeders beware.

How does the zombism begin? How is it spread? Do they at least chomp on people here and there?

How did you manage to sum me up in one sentence?

I still want to see this at some point

It begins with thousands of people, mainly elderly, leaving their graves and walking back to their hometowns.

It's never clarified how anything was "spread" because it was never stated there was any infection. They simply...well...CAME BACK.

They don't chomp on anybody. Once again, this is NOT a Romero clone using the same old same old concept.

I really enjoyed this movie. Here's a link to my review of it (http://zaggreviews.blogspot.com/2005/12/they-came-back-2004.html).

I like the French, by the way. :)

Wonderful review. I completely agree. It's no chips & beer kind of film but not everything has to.

I actually really enjoyed this film. I watched it off Netflix, and it was a completely different kind of "dead" movie.

I wouldn't even call this a horror movie, but I too enjoyed it. It's one of those "be careful what you wish for" kinda movies.
