Right now I have:

Raiders of the Living Dead (I'm ashamed to even post that I have this)
Shaun of the Dead
Flesh Freaks (I'll give anyone $1 to take this off my hands)

So give me some help on other ones I can add. Thanks:drinking:

No offense taken. To each his own. House wa definitely crap but it delivered on so many different levels that I was able to ignore the lame cut scenes and running, jumping zombies. :)

If I could only pick ten zombie movies for my collection they would be:

Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
Zombi 2
Hell of the Living Dead or Flesheater (too hard to decide)
Day of the Dead
Night of the Living Dead '90
I, Zombie: A Chronicle of Pain or The Dead Next Door (too hard to decide)
Shaun of the Dead
Dead Meat
Land of the Dead

What do all these movies have in common? Slow moving zombies that can only be killed with a bullet to the brain or decapitation.

I, Zombie: A Chronicle of Pain

You and I may be the only ones on this forum that enjoy that movie.

I consider to be the perfect movie for a rainy day when you're not in the mood for an action movie about zombies. Let's face it their aren't many dramas about zombies. I consider I, Zombie to be one of the most imaginative and artistic zombie movies of all time.

Undead is a great movie. It kinda gets messed up in the end but W/E. It has zombies plus gore=good. Plus it has that B-list horror film humor in it.

I completely agree. I've been attempting to move on but it's like kicking a dumbass when they're down. You just can't get enough.

My birthday is coming up and I told my fiance that I would like to spend some money on new zombie flicks.

If you look around you may be able to score copies of Boy Eats Girl, Severed & Night of the Living Dorks as well. They're "other" region films so you'll need a region free player with NTSC to PAL conversion capabilities.

I missed out on seeing that unfortunately:-(

I still have to get my finger out of my ass and rent Zombie Honeymoon.

Choking Hazard is quite a fun flick if you don't mind subtitles and dodgy Eastern European humour wbgrafix

Also The Stink of Flesh is pretty good

The Stink of Flesh was definitely different. I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Feeding the Masses.

I liked that one too actually, very different from most zombie movies...hell as far as I know it's the only one of its kind.

1. The Return of the Living Dead - MUST HAVE!!!
2. Cemetery Man
3. Dead Men Walking
4. Dead Meat
5. Dawn of the Dead (04') - I'm surprised no one else really said this one
6. I, Zombie
7. Toxic Zombies - Trash Cinema at it's worst, but it's all in good fun!
8. House of the Dead - As bad as this was, there's much worse and that has made me appreciate this one a bit more...
9. Resident Evil
10. Curse of the Screaming Dead - Okay so it's a terrible film, but I love it and I think it should at least be included in every zombie collection

Bad Zombie Night

Night of the creeps

I would take this one out of consideration because it has been Out-of-Print for quite some time now... The best you can do if find a bootleg copy on EBay if you really want it that badly*.

resident evil I & II
land of the dead

It's on amazon.com on DVD.

Hmmm... That page is very suspect.

For one thing Amazon isn't selling anything, they are just acting as an intermediary in their new & used section... The Toxic Zombies listing on the IMDB has no link on the right side to amazon.com... Matter of fact, one of the sellers says "this is a VHS VIDEO not a DVD!"... An another thing to note is that amazon.com has the title listed as 'Toxic Zombies (2005)' when the film was made in 1980... All the other listings are from Moviesunlimited, and I bet they are video tapes, not DVD... Did you ever buy a copy of the DVD?

Ah Ha!
That sounds like a similar story I had with my 'Night of the Creeps' DVD... It has been long OOP also, but I managed to find a descent bootleg VHS transfer copy off of Ebay (The DVD menus were well done I might add).
You know the DVD market is turning to :poo: when a company like Amazon is unwittingly letting some of its dealers slip pirated copies to its consumer base. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/pirate.gif

Yeah, well I don't think they really know it's a bootleg. I'm not too sure how things work as far as selling your product to someone but I'm sure there's some wa around it.

Well the 1st 6 are easy, the others a bit harder.
The 4 GAR movies,Shawn, and Dead Alive
The next ,
Bio Zombie-humorous and decent plot so I can rewatch this one.
Dellamorte Dellamour- its got Anna Falchi, yummy!
Junk-Moves along pretty quickly, with good action.Plus extra points for the rack on the Zombie chick.
Maplewoods-Bad acting but its got an effective claustrophobic atmosphere

Another one just because I haven't seen it listed is Breakfast at the Manchester Morgue. Its is a little slow but the Zombies in it are really well done.

A couple others that haven't been mentioned but I would have to rewatch to comment on them.Biohazardous,Stacy,Living Dead in TokoyoBay,Shatterdead.

House of the Dead 1 or 2

redneck zombies
ROTLD - 3, 4, or 5
should I save my money

Rassilon

I would rent Bio-Zombie first and form your own opinion... My opinion was that it sucked severly from what I remember there was little to no gore and it was like the house of the dead return of the living dead 5 rave of the dead stupidity... Granted house of the dead packed the blood, its only saving grace... House 2 was better... ROTLD 5 Necropolis was well... ok....

Gore doesnt make a zombie flick per say like in the example of Children Shouldnt Play with Dead Things...

Heres my top zombie horror list....
List of the best IMHO:
Dawn of the Dead (1979)
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead
Night of the Living Dead (1969)
Burial Ground <- I watch this one over and over and its so bad that it will make you puke...
Dead Alive/Braindead
Zombie Doom/Violent Shit III <- Who can complain, zombies serial killers and yes NINJAS
Undead
Video Dead <- Classic 80's cheese...
Redneck Zombies <- Bad troma humor...
Cannibal Confederates/Screaming Dead <- Dont be fooled by the Screaming Dead title from Shock O Rama... That was not a zombie film...
Blind Dead series
Children I mentioned earlier
Dead Meat
Zombi 3
After Death <- This one and the one above arent that gory but thier too cool to pass up...
Premutos <- Not a true zombie flick... In fact this was just a gore flick with no real plot...
The Wickeds <- Has Ron Jeremy in it... A decent zombie flick...
Return of the living dead III <- Still looking for an unbutchered non Lions Gate travesty...
Plaga Zombie was too cool...
Toxic Zombies <- VHS rip
Is Dr Butcher MD/Zombie Holocaust a zombie flick or a cannibal flick :P
Parts of the Family has some zombies in it but its not the best example... But gory...
Grapes of Death?
Ozone: Attack of the Redneck Mutants <- Only existing copy is a PAL region 0 off xploited cinema...
Dawn of the Mummy might be a good choice and I believe those are zombies...
Oasis of the Zombies by good ol Jess Franco... Wierd and atmospheric...
Zombie 90 <- Just gore and zombies thats it...
Nightmare City <- Not the best zombie example and not that bloody but a good watch on a rainy day...
I Was a Teenage Zombie <- I loke this one... Happy Days meets Dawn of the Dead...
Zombie
Campfire Tales has a zombie short in it thats cool... This is the Sub Rosa release I am referring too...
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Stacey <- Wierd take on the zombie genere Japanese like Junk
Meat Market/Meat Market 2 <- Low budget Sub Rosa gore...
Dead Next Door

I have more in my collection but that should give you a good place to start...

I am looking to get Dead Life & Dead Things... More than likely rent...

Zombie_215
07-01-2006, 06:51 AM
Zombie Lake
Zombi3
Night of the Zombies
Children of the Living Dead

Burial Ground <- I watch this one over and over and its so bad that it will make you puke...

Interesting film, I was a little disturbed by the zombies that used a battering ram to get into the house.

Bio Zombie - Yes
House of the Dead - No
House of the Dead 2 - Maybe... If the other titles are sold out.
Dead and Breakfast - YES
Buttcrack - No... I thought it was stupid.
redneck zombies - No
ROTLD 3 - Yes
ROTLD 4 - No... Dull
ROTLD 5 - No... Duller then the previous other one.

I like the music and the cheap gore in Burial Ground the most... And that green paint they used for pus... If you watch closely in the movie theres a part where a zombie is doused with a bucket of green paint and set on fire... Must have been the backstage where they kept thier backup supply...

I think Dead Alive the Unrated version from trimark is the same uncut version as braindead... Although I could be plesantly mistaken....

Demons, directed by Lamberto Bava, is very good in my opinion. But the sequel sucked.
