'Cause it's always our favourite part of the movie

I'm split between the departure of David (Shaun otD), the nearly-headless zombie that flips its head over and onto the bullfighter guy in Land otD [it's the only zombie in the entire movie that's 100% CG animated], and the revenge of Bub vs. Captain dickhole-I'm-the-law-down-here-cuz-I-control-the-military- and-I've-got-two-really-big-guns-that-are-gonna-get-taken-away-anyways in Day otD. It's sort of a fight between gore, ingenuity, and satisfaction. I also liked the one in Dawn78 where the sombrero man in the blood pressure thingy gets totalled in the second-to-last scene, but I wouldn't say it measures up to the others.

Definately Day, because the death of Rhodes is extremely gory and fun to watch...

I'll go with Day but I loved some of the Dead Alive Kills.

Have to say i went with Day as well because the deaths of the soldiers are so grusome and definatley the best kills by zombies. Torres (i think thats his name) is my favourite because of the way his voice rises in pitch as his head is ripped off. But the best zombification has to be Roger from Dawn78, when he slowly sits up in bed starring at Peter while the TV is speaking over the top.

Yeah, I have to go with the head flipping back in Shaun. The way it sounded put a perfect effect on that scene, unforgettable. (:scare: )

I voted for NotLD, just to be a tool, because the scene in which the girl stabs her mother with the trowel is as iconic as it gets. However, for consistently great kills over the course of a film, it don't get any better than Day. There seems to be so much hatred on the part of the zombies in that film - maybe it spills over from Bub's intelligence and purposefulness, but it really seems like they hate the living in that flick, as opposed to simply following instinct. Land has some sweet kills too - I especially like the butcher zombie who cuts off the grenade-bearing hand, on which its former owner lands and is blown to pieces. Nice. Also, the kills in Zombi 2 (particularly the venerable eye gouge and the ridiculous conquistador zombie rising from the grave) come to mind. Finally, I have always loved the come-uppance of Alan in Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things - never have I rooted so hard for the zombies. Hope they preserve that spirit in the remake.

Oh, and how could I overlook the scene in "Burial Ground" where the scarecrow-ass zombies use a throwing knife and a scythe to secure some hottie head cheese.

I loved those biker deaths in DOTD78. Especially that dude in the sombrero who got ripped apart in the blood tester machine!

I went with Dead Alive, for the simple fact that some of the zombie influenced deaths were so outrageous...

Mom eating Paquita's dog...whole...

The nurses death, then being assaulted by Lionel via using porcelien ducks as throwing stars...

"I kick ass for the lord"...nuff said...

And the end of the movie is just beautiful zombie doom given form...

I voted for Land because of the way it killed the zombie movie resurgence!

I picked Day Of The Dead because of all of those guts getting ripped out of the soldiers and stuff. Eww, it's absolutely disgusting, but good at the same time. :P

this is really 2 questions in one. there are so many great zombie kills, some of my faves have already been mentioned: priest in Land, blood pressure guy in Dawn, and everybody in Day! pretty much all of Dead Alive is up there as well. so i have to cast my vote for zombification, and my fave has also been mentioned. Roger in Dawn was really a groundbreaking defining moment on the zombie movie timeline. Go Roger!!

Favorite zombie deaths:
The one in ROTLD II who gets it's face bashed in, then the girl pulls out her fist, covered in rotted, slimy flesh and brain picees and the zombie gurgles and moans before it finally hits the ground.

The one in Land who had it's head hanging by a nerve and gets shot in the chest, the bullet penetrates it's body and hits it in the head.

The lawnmover massacre in Braindead.

In House II there's a zombie-like cowboy who gets the left side of his head blown off, then the right and finally the jaw.

In ROTLD when Burt decapitates Tarman with the basebalbat and later when a zombie attacks one of the cops, another cop tries to save him by pulling away the zombie and accidently rips it's head of.

The helicopter haircut in Dawn 78.

The double ressurection in Dead Heat.

Favorite human deaths:
In ROTLD II when Billy's dad gets bitten by the old lady with maggots crawling out of the wounds.

The mayor in Cemetery Man who gets bitten by his own daughter's severed flying(!) head.

In ROTLD where a cop waves a flashlight at incoming police cars, then he turns out to be a zombie and his undead friends runs out of the shadows and attacks them.
