I dont think they should have made it at all.
The way it was done, it was just whoring out the RE name. There was no link to the RE games at all other than that they had zombies and one of them had a character called Jill. The odd "easter eggs" that made you think of RE were completely un-necessary and added absolutely nothing to the film.
Dont get me wrong, the films were okay, but they were nothing to do with RE other than whoring out the trademark to save a few bucks on advertising.

But even then, if you've played the game, you know whats going to happen. I think films of games are a bad idea whatever way you look at it.

Goerge Romero did write a script, It's online. And is far superior to Paul Anderson's hunk of Sh*t.
Funny thing is the producers didn't like his script because he changed the characters too much?
Oh Chris wasn't a member of S.T.A.R.S and Barry was black.
Can really see how Anderson got much closer to the game plot:roll:

So what about books? Should they change them just incase someone that read the book knows what's coming...............No.
The reason no Game turned movie has worked is no one has yet to actually base the movie on the plot.
Games like Resident Evil and Metal Gear have very good, filmable plots.
Doom had a pretty simple yet effective plot (But the movie egnored it)
Toom Raider is a film all about the character like James Bond or Indiana Jones. Still wasn't that good a film.

Name one film that was better than the book. They shouldnt do them either.
