how many days past between the first day of the outbreak and the time all the characters died at the end of the movie. in other words between what days was andy's survival tape tooken. cuz in the end vingh rhames nad others only took a day or two to get to the islands. cuz unless it took 28 days from the time they outbreak started in the movie till the end they might have been able to wait it out if they just did think about it.

like in 28 days later the zomibes were at full strength and by 28 days they couldnt move. so could it have been vice versa in dotd o4. cuz if it was we would no cuz of the time period.

lol does anyone get that? i hope so. well yeah whatever

He asks how much time passed from the beginning to the last minutes in the mall. It has something to do with the state of decomposition... I think.

I thought, from what they insuated with the lounge version of "Down with the Sickness" montage, that atleast a week or more went by...

It definatly couldn't have been over a month, as Luda was quite ripe in her pregnancy, and seemed about ready to pop when they took shelter in the Mall the first day...

I always thought it were months...

Nah, no way it could've been months, as Luda's swollen belly simply too "ripe"...

Now, don't get me wrong, I've seen some really swollen bellies on pregnant women at 7 1/2 - 8 months, but Luda's abdomen is (in the humble opinion of someone who's fathered 3 kids :) ) easily no less then 8 months preggie in those pics...

Now, in the original DotD (Romero's), I'd definatly agree that they were in the mall for months...But in the remake, I'm guessing no longer then 1, -mabey- 2 weeks at most...

AHA!...

Well, I now have the official timeframe for how long a timeframe Dawn of the Dead 04 took place in...

As per the trivia on IMDB.com -

"According to 'the lost tape', which contains gun shop owner Andy's personal video diary (accessible as a bonus feature on the director's cut DVD), the main characters arrive at the mall early in the movie on May the 9th. Therefore, the movie opens a day earlier on May the 8th, 2004 (Andy mentions that attacks on citizens by the undead had already started on the 7th). Andy's makes his last entry just before he turns into one of the undead on June the 6th, 2004, and the movie ends on that same day (not including the footage during the end credits). This places the events of Dawn of the Dead in a timeframe of just 29 days."

So I was off on believing it was no more then 2 weeks, but it was definatly not "months" as some theorized...
