Hello everyone,
Permuted Press (http://www.permutedpress.com) is pleased to announce we will be releasing a special edition of Travis Adkins' cult favorite zombie novel “Twilight of the Dead”. The special edition will feature:
* A brand new introduction by Andre Duza, author of "Dead Bitch Army (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0976249812/permutedpress-20)" and "Jesus Freaks, n. see 'zombie'".
* Corrected manuscript for “Twilight of the Dead”.
* "Glimpses of Twilight" - Exclusive new short stories taking place in the Twilight world. Meet the founding father of the Black Berets, discover the origins of Eastpointe's Marshalls, and witness Eastpointe's Black Berets lose one of their own.
* Brand new cover art from Eyes of Chaos.
"Twilight of the Dead" tells the story of Courtney Colvin: a young woman who's survived for five years during the undead apocalypse and is residing in the fortified town of Eastpointe. When a newcomer arrives claiming to know the location of an antidote to the zombie plague, it sends Eastpointe into an uproar. To retrieve this antidote, Courtney and a group of other survivors must venture outside the relative safety of the compound's walls and into a world ruled and dominated by the flesh-eating undead.

That's good news!
I tried to order a copy in Borders yesterday but they only had used copies for about $35. So i guess i'll have to wait until spring unless i find a copy elsewhere.

I think the extras will make it worth the wait. :)

I'm excited to announce that Twilight of the Dead will be receiving a positive review in April's edition of Dark Realms Magazine.
How I tricked those people into liking my book, I don't know.
Maybe I have Jedi force powers... (Or maybe I've just been playing too much KOTOR.)

Congrats Travis!!!!
The Force is strong with you. But I think I have embraced The Darkside.

Embrace the Darkside? I try to stay in the gray area myself!:)
Anyway, for those interested, here's the issue the Twilight review will appear in:

Hi everybody,
Just thought I'd share a sketch of the new cover art for the Twilight of the Dead Special Edition.

I have to agree about that cover, but I try not to judge a book by it's cover.

First edition's sold out... And I really can't recommend paying what some people are asking for it:) Keep checking here and at www.permutedpress.com to see when the new edition is available. I've added three new short stories that take place before the main story: "Founding Father" (the first Black Beret!), "Broken Butterfly" (anyone who knows me knows I love musicals, so this story is my zombified take on Madame Butterfly/Miss Saigon), and "Drawing Straws," which details a Black Beret mission when there were seven. (Seven? Yep.) Plus the Special Edition will have an Intro by Andre Duza, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. And yes, more memos and documents!

Which cover? The one at the top of this thread? (By Eyes of Chaos) Or the rough sketch of the newest artwork?
Yeah, I've had too many negative comments to go with the first cover. But I'm glad you liked the story!
Regardless of the cover I'm looking forward to getting my grubby hands on this

I think the new sketch better suits the material within. Who is the artist; not the guy who broke his hand, right?

Na, this is a new guy. You can see his gallery here: http://www.blackwash-studio.com/art.html
I love his style. I feel very lucky he's helping me out.
Here's an updated cover, sans zombies. The artist is going to soften up Courtney a bit, (since in this picture she looks like she's forty or something, or just very mannish,) and add turquoise to her uniform.
