"More human than human" by white zombie or
"Cowboys from hell" by Pantera
The white zombie one would just be so appropriate, and it is such a kick ass song.

Fuer Frei by Rammstien. Or War Zone by Slayer. Or Sentenced to Burn by Cannibal Corpse. Or as an appropriate one Necropheliac by Slayer, :puke:

Damn, there are so many good ones that its hard to pick.

However, for nostalgia's sake, I'll pick "Purple Haze". I used to blast it on my headphones before my high school wrestling matches - really got me pumped! Suppose it would do the same if I had to face a horde of zombies!

Just one of the most recognizable songs in a zombie film and it has a slammin beat and vocals that make ya wanna get out there and kill the shamblers! Slipknot also gets me in the z-killin mood!

I'd have to go with Tow Truck by Sabres of Paradise.

Or for something a little more "rock" how about Swamp Song by Tool.

And for a bit of 'comic relief' - maybe some later stuff like 'Grimly Fiendish'.

That all depends on if I were on foot or in a vehicle moving those bastards down. If it were the latter, nothing would beat Pink by Boris, Para5 by The Psychic Paramount, and Night Owl by The Shiners. If I were on foot, it'd be This You Can Trust by Dove, Charge of the Brown Recluse by Torche, and What Will Come by Angels of Light.

Hi Pk,

This is a very good list, but that's too bad you have put "Klansmen" and "Skrewdriver", fortunately, the myspace skrewdriver page is about the early songs that aren't nazi... but Klansmen is a hard stuff and doesn't match with the whole list. Combat 84 is on the edge too... be careful, cause these bands ****ed the Oi! scene I'm quite familiar with but with an anti-racist stand and sometimes people doesn't understand the difference between the RAC and the Oi! music and may think you're on the dark side, but I know you're not.

It's your choice, but communism (I don't mean Stalinism or Maoism) has never been a threat, and nowadays beeing anti-communist doesn't mean a thing... it's an other debate I won't go further and it's a typical U.S case I do not agree with since Mc Carthy did the whole thing. Let's talk 'bout music.

"Ultra Violence" from the Opressed or some Condemned 84 tunes would be the best Oi! songs against the hordes of living dead!

i dont like the idea of any apsect of communism being used, im very capitalist, and for that matter i detest socialism to any degree honestly, but no more politics

and they went political which i didnt care to much for, but they didnt go nazi till i think around 86, then ian got killed by the government (so they claim, he died in a car crash) in 93 i think

Ok, but how can you listen to bands such as Sham69, Cockney Rejects, Black Flag, **** Sparrer, the Ruts and Los Crudos (Los Crudos man!!!)... when you call yourself a capitalist ? These bands are mostly anti-establishment, anti-capitalist and in the working class mentality... maybe you only enjoy the "music" but punk, Oi! and hardcore ain't about music only. I just don't get it, but it sounds personal.because like i said

**** politics, i like the music, not so much the message (i cant hardly understand spanish, i know what they are saying, ive looked up their lyrics)

and yeah, it is about music, thats it

punk, oi, hardcore, its a genre of music, i ****ing hate scene and scene kids, i like to fight the bastards if im drunk at a show, ill kick them around for promoting shit i dont care about, handing out commie flyers at a show while im just there to see the band, i spit on the paper and flip them off

like i said, **** politics in general (also, not all of their music is about that stuff, most of its about getting drunk, women, etc. about random shit)

Punk only sucks if it's commercial crap. It used to be about real societal problems, now it's a bunch of spoiled, rich suburbinites whining about their girlfriends.
That said, I would chose "Anarchy in the UK" by the Sex Pistols. Listening to Johnny Rotten scream " 'Cause I wanna be ..Anarchy!" gets my adrenaline going every time.
Or else Mozart's requeim, Verdi's requiem, and Carmena Burana. They're all super dramatic and ironic at the same time.

Wow. I cannot stop listening to this song. And I think if you go and listen you'll feel the same way.

Jonathan Coulton posts a new song every week, but this one is truly amazing. I cannot begin to describe it properly so I'll just use his words:

"If Hollywood has taught us anything, it’s that being trapped in a mall surrounded by a million zombies would be really troublesome. But how much more annoying would it be if the head zombie used to be your co-worker, and he was kind of a prick even before he got infected? And now he’s right outside and he just keeps talking and talking - still the same jackass, only now he wants to eat your brains?"

Please, do yourself a favor and follow this link to where you can listen to -- and download -- this song for free:

I have an mp3 player and I honestly couldn't pick just 10 out of the 1303 songs that are on there as it always depends what kind of mood I'm in and what song I woke up with in my head.

However if you mean what would be the ten best songs to listen to during a zombie invasion then you will probably find your answer in the following thread.

http://www.allthingszombie.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7209

Also
1. Manowar - Fight Until We Die

Ouch.

Yeah, dumbass Punk Rock blows. Green Day's music belings in the rubbish bin. ****s.

I think the statements in that whole discussion are a bit misguided. Green Day is NOT punk.

Ignoring anything that has BEEN in a well-known zombie flick and trying not to repeat anything others have already said, because there'd be no point:

This Is Hell - Broken Teeth
Death - Zombie Ritual
Death - Painkiller (Judas Priest cover)
Unearth - Zombie Autopilot
Black Dahlia Murder - Funeral Thirst
Carl Orff - O Fortuna (mentioned earlier, but wrong artist)
Recently Vacated Graves - Send More Cops
Danzig - Not of This World
The Misfits - Bullet
Arch Enemy - Ravenous
Johnny Cash - Ghost Riders (In The Sky)
Dillinger Escape Plan - 43% Burnt
Any Iron Maiden.

I apologize if you took it personal. It was really just a joke! I mean come on man, the Rachel Ray theme song. Have you seen that annoying talk show? I thought after writing that everyone would know I was just playing. To tell you the truth, I barely even read what anyone wrote as their song. So once again I apologize, I just have a weird sense of humor I guess.

Exactly!
