Land of the Dead (Unrated Special Edition)
Zoo Tycoon DS (DS game)

At christmas I secretly spent $100 on an 80 pound outdoor punching bag for the little boy that's living with us. (as some might remember). I justified the expense by figuring that my stepson would also get use out of it, and when the boy (and his mom and sister) left (in 8 months time), I'd buy another one for my son if he showed an interest in it.
After hours about a week ago or so, I welded together a big outdoor post kinda like a gallows (hangman) setup, at work. I sent it off to the powdercoaters for him to sneak it in the next time he ran some black powdercoat. It's coming back tomorrow, but it's too late..
It's been decided that the boy is going to move to live with his father now. He's been REAL bad news around here, and his mom couldn't afford counselling for him (which he needs BAD.. ) and she refused to let me pay for it because she knows we're in bad shape financially.
Anyways.. what this means is that I'll get the post to his dad's house, and in theory, he might dig the 3 foot hole for it, and might embed it in cement like it was designed to be, but THEN.. the black leather punching bag will hang in the yard where all the dogs are kept.
That thing doesn't stand a chance of being used, considering that the boy is a little afraid of the dogs to begin with, AND I doubt the dogs would leave it alone.
Added to the fact that he's got to be trained on how to properly hit the bag to avoid injury to himself (which I'm qualified to do) and the handwrapping and all that. He's likely to hit it a few times and discover that his wrist hurts, or worse yet, he'll damage some growth plates by sticking with it and using it incorrectly despite the pain. Either way... no good. If he's hurt by it, he'll quickly lose interest.
However, I'm still convinced that his dad won't even set-up the pole. What a waste of money, time, and effort.

I bought a Creative labs Portable Media Center. It's got a 30gb hard drive and a 3.5 inch viewable screen. Plays a wide variety of video formats, audio formats, photos, plays radio, records wave files and TV and so on. It was about $570 USD. I've been putting my zombie movies onto it so I can watch them anywhere! I think these PMC's are really going to get very popular. Handhelds and mobiles are such a fascinating technology. Mobiles especially! I've done some work in Flash Lite and 3GP format for MMS at work. It's sad that these unit don't support the FLV format, and subsequently FLV streaming media servers.

Ok, now I'm a bit confused with all the re reading posts, but yeah, it gets pretty cold most of the year here, its only warm for 3 of the months, and all the rest of the time its freezing out, this weekend was freakishly warm, its 10celcius outside, and I can wear a t-shirt!. But in a few day's its gonna go down to -5 celcius.:-( and I'm gonna have to bring out the jacket again for the mornings. In the winter it gets brutally cold, and its usually around -35 celcius, and thats why you gotta pay at least 200$ on a jacket to wear so you don't feeze your nuts off when you leave your house.

I just payed the mechanic $2600.00 of hard earned money to pump up my car. Got a new exaust system, new enlarged pistons, and random other crap to make it go faster :) it does, cause the new gauge he put in goes to 200mph, and he says now the car should top 175-180mph at 25-30 seconds, and the car goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds almost to the dot (not bad, but NOT the BEST) and 20-25 seconds after that, the car is at 180mph (estimate), so yeah, my car is fast.
next all I need is some new paint (metallic green/ double black stripes), new stereo system, and as the finally, a super charger (blower)......hopefully, but that will be a while, (they run oh $6000.00 if you want the best, which I do :) )
luckily I had almost $5,000.00 (before this work) but I still have more than enough left to get the stuff I want except the blower, but one day I will get it. And with the blower my car should be 0-60 in less than 2.5 seconds, and top out at 220-230mph

I want to. There is a race track about 30 miles away from my house, and people are allowed to use it if they pay $200 per year (GREAT deal) and sign some insurance papers/waivers etc. if there aren't any "heavy hitters" there, there's always street racing, but I dont really fancy getting arrested
