Does anyone know of any good free online zombie games? I know a few that would be pretty cheap,but any free?

There are also zombie games that can be played via emulators or downloaded because they are considered 'abandonware' but that's a grey area so you're on your own for that kinda stuff. I know there are Half-Life 2 mods or Unreal mods but since I don't own the games I haven't looked for any mods.

It's the best we can do. You really should try modding your games though, it's rather fun. Your only other choices are get a console and buy some good zombie games or you could look into abandonware and emulated games but those have always been a grey area so you're on your own there.

I'd drop the bucks for a PS2 so you can get a good library of zombie and other survival horror games for PS1 and PS2.

Out of Hell is a mod for Unreal Tournament 2003 or 2004, and looks very promising. The demo is now available, so if you have UT03 or 04, might be worth your time. I'm gonna dload it tonight and see how good it is.

The Dead Awaken (http://www.deadawaken.com) - Another massively-multiplayer RPG, Dead Awaken has little quests to do and some NPCs to interact with, but it has fewer players overall, and the combat system needs some serious adjustment (in my opinion). It's still pretty fun, and hey, it's got zombies!

Isn't 'abandonware' a grey area? They say it's 'illeagal' or something yet the game companies (If they are still in business or haven't disbanded that is) don't make Underdogs remove the game. I'm just going by different views I've read though.

Is The Dead Awaken like Urban dead or do you get to actually control a character in a 3D world with other people playing along?

It's like Urban Dead in that a lot of it is text-based, but it does have some little 2D sprite-based graphics and whatnot. It plays very differently from Urban Dead, but the combat system is utter crap, in my opinion.

There was a zombie demo to a game that a 3d animator made himself. I can't rember the name at all (I know, not much help) it was a 3rd person game, but you coudl switch to first person. Soley just fighting zombies. All I know is on the site the guy also made some monster football game. If any of you know of it, I'd really like to add to the list, it was a amazing game, the demo was free, graphics weren't bad (for the time) and I'd love to find and download it again. If I come up with anything else I'll post again.

The Dead Awaken (http://www.deadawaken.com) - Another massively-multiplayer RPG, Dead Awaken has little quests to do and some NPCs to interact with, but it has fewer players overall, and the combat system needs some serious adjustment (in my opinion). It's still pretty fun, and hey, it's got zombies!

I think you have to configure the sound before it'll work. I didn't have any problems getting it to work. But the game is so full of bugs that you'll end up getting stuck alot anyway. You're not missing much.
