WHY! WHY HAVE YOU UNLEASHED THIS PLAUGE UPON US!
Who the F-ck is Giving Uwe Boll money to make movies?
Did House of the Dead not bomb bad enough? DID ALONE IN THE DARK NOT PERMENTELY force Christian Slater and Tara Reid into Direct to Video Movies (Tara reids in the Newest of the "Crow" series.) Who gives him money? and Why are these game companys letting him have the rights to their games? Do they have no respect for gamers? Do they have no respect for their games?
I HATE YOU UWE! I DECLARE WAR ON UWE BOLL!
Son of a bitch owes me $3.50 for my rental fee for House of the Dead. Bastard!

Dead Aim? That's a Resident Evil game... they could have been a bit more creative. Never know till you actually watch it though... may be okay or may be a huge turd.

Easy! Easy! dts!
There is a glimmer of hope for this flick, because Uwe Boll is not directing it! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/nanners/0495.gif
Instead, a former kick boxing champion, and owner of the Karate Black Belt Michael Hurst has got the job.
Aren't you now just elated by this news?!!

They've promised no videogame footage (Yay!) and no relation to the first film and that it may not even be titled House of the Dead 2. First of all, if the story picks up where the last one left off, would'nt that make it a sequel? You just can't pick up where a story left off and expect to make a completely different movie. Either it's a sequel or it's not.

It's a zombie site, and i guess this will be a zombie flick, whether it will be good, bad or ugly so we may as well talk about it :scare:

That is a bit confusing... :loon: Maybe they mean that the film has no references to the previous film.

House of the dead 2 isnt being directed by Uwe Boll. dont have high hopes but i know it will be better than HOTD

Maybe with this director, there will be a mixture of Zombies and Karate... Do you think we'll see Jackie Chan Zombies? ... Uh Oh! Look out Big Daddy!
It's being written by 4(?) screnwriters though. Four who previously wrote Hotd and Alone in the Dark! So i wouldn't be surprised if Boll(ock) has some input.

the writers also did (besides the first hotd) alone in the dark another one that was in the theaters for a week. Shouldn't these writers have been assasinated by now?

I will need the money to buy the following items.
1) 1 stangle cord $15.00
2) 1 shovel $25.00
3) 50 packs of Top Ramen $.25
4) 12 pack of Mt. Dew $3.00
With these items I will make it my sole mission in life to hunt down and kill every one of the bastards responsible for this atrocity of a film
Oh btw, Hey everyone my 1st post. ( I hate doing these in introduction boards)

I must admit that some of the pics make me think the FX might be decent. Anyway, Uwe isn't behind the helm. Who knows? Maybe it'll be alright. I'll probably still buy it.

Well, they obviously know how hated HOTD is so I'm sure there will be alot of marketing showing that it is a new director and also showing really good makeup effects. I can't say I've got much hope for this, though, since it's the same writers and the director's claim to fame is kickboxing which means that it will probably be some sort of Van-Damme at a rave party with zombies theme. :puke:

Seriously who is going to be stupid enough to go see this movie after the first one tanked. Who Ok'd a sequel? Uwe Boll isnt directing eh? Fine, He's wrecking some other game franchise.
Far Cry (2006) Oh man, Its a FPS, You cant make movie out of an FPS! *Proven by HOTD*
Fear Effect (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0461661/) (2006) Why?
Hunter: The Reckoning (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431132/) (2006) You Son of a Bitch!
Night Claws (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460882/) (2005) ?
Dungeon Siege (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460780/) (2006) Do we really need a Dungeon siege game?
Bloodrayne Why? Why are you ruining this movie? Ben Kingsly is in it, so maybe it will be good. Maybe

It's kinda funny that, although 99% of ATZ members despised HOTD, (and with good reason), I'll bet anything that this thread will quickly become the most popular one on the forums. People just love to hate don't they? (Myself included!!)

Being honest Ill look foreward to this one,and I think most of the members here will go see it even if its just to chat about it here on the threads.Theres not much else to look foreward to at the moment except here in europe we are still waiting on land and a month later we have Doom. :drinking:

Aliens was better than Alien...but then Alien was a good film in itself so I guess that doesn't count!!

I thought Alien was better because it was so fresh and new at the time. Aliens was the same movie but it was like the director had just watched Commando for the 10th time in a row when he directed it. But hey, More aliens =

I'm not really a fan of the first Alien movie. Maybe because I was only 9 when it came out, but I love all the others, (Yes, even Resurrection). I'm not saying Alien 1 was as bad as HOTD, it just moves too slow for me. HOTD sucks on a whole different level and showed it in the trailers which is why I waited for that one to hit DVD before I saw it. Hopefully this sequel will be a vast improvement. Guess I'll wait and see how the trailer looks, but then again, a certain Romero movie that came out recently had a GREAT trailer but then sucked ass on the screen. :)

One thing that would defiitely improve this film beyond the first is to remove the complete shit video game shots. If they don't repeat that, they may find a much more enjoyable film has been produced.

probably another thing that they could remove is the actors, and the script. Hell just have us stare at a black screen for 2 hours and it will probably be more enjoyable.

Oh believe me, I know the original needed lots of changes. Maybe 80% of the movie. I was simply stating that if they cut out the game shit, they might have a better film the second time around. They can't do much worse...

Yes!! Definitely cut out the game shit, but in addition, get rid of the Mtv actors and the whole rave party theme. That just makes me pull for the zombies.

He recently did Alone in the Dark with Christian Slater. I didn't see it, for the obvious reason, but I heard REALLY bad things about it. I think he's doing Bloodrayne right now which is probably gonna anger a bunch of people, but don't quote me on that.

Well, I hear Sid Haig (Devil's Rejects) is gonna have a role in HOTD2, and from the pics I've seen, it might have a slight chance to be good. I never bothered to see the first one based on all the bad reviews.
Speaking of Uwe Boll, the director of the first one, Bloodrayne has an A list cast, who will hopefully be able to ad enough talent to the film.
Christianna Loken (T3)
Michael Madsen (Donnie Brasco, GTA games, Kill Bill 2)
Ben Kingsley (Species)
Michelle Rodriguez (Resident Evil)
and I don't know who else.

House of the Dead 2 was a hell of a lot better than the 1st film. It had actual zombies in it (no kung fu fighting living dead) & had something resembling a plot. Given the fact it's a direct to dvd movie, & had it's world premiere on the sci fi channel, it could've been worser than it was.
It's watchable. standard grade b zombie flick.
