I had a year 5 teacher who had a tatoo of a rose on her ankle, her nose pierced, and about 5 or 6 earrings between her two years. And she was 54 years old with osteoporrosis (sorry, can't spell that). Needless to say, she was a great teacher.

I have an uncle who had a tatoo across his stomach of a ship, but that was in the days when he had a 6-pack. Nowadays, he's got a beer belly, and it looks like the ship has split in two and is sinking. There's even people leaning on the railings in it... :evil: :evil:

I've designed many a tattoo for friends and family (including my mom; a saguaro cactus on her ankle) .. do have an idea of what you might want?...

check this one that i finished just last week.. it's kinda of a cross-breed tribal/celtic-knot inspired design that masks letterforms.. see if you can read it.. from top to bottom...

I actually really like your avatar (hope that's your work!) so something along those lines would be awesome...actually the avatar is cropped from a fan-fuggin-tastic painting done by Italian artist Alberto Ponticelli (http://ponticelli.redsectorart.com/) .. his work is a great inspiration for me.. i wouldn't say my art is the same style as his but alot of my stuff has a similar feeling and look.. I am not one to pin myself down to one style..

I like Frank Cho, I still think Michael Turner draws some beatiful women and Olivia De Berardinis is my all time fav cheesecake artist. I think that Black and White art can often be soo much more emotional.

There's this painting in my living room that my dad had commisioned an artist to paint. It's of my favourite place in the world: Cottesloe Beach, Western Australia. I went there one last time, about three or four years ago, when I left Australia for Scotland. Anyone who goes to WA really should visit there. You'll get what I mean.

I think this thread should be open to posting art or discussing art and tattoes belonging to other and our selves.By the way shiver me timbers is the slang my wife uses to let me know its the tuesday night special. :lol:

ZeeeLove - Yeah I like to work in all kinds of media from Glass blowing, metal smithing, and wood working. I just started learnig digital media tho...

BZN - I work mostly using Photoshop CS. I first added a filter that takes everything above and below a certain level and turnes it either black or white. It looks really messy but with some filling and erasing you can get a good profile. The problem is with the filter you loose some fine definition (like Sado's nose and eyebrows - those I had to draw in) and finally I added some flying hair, more definition in his neck, and I used his necklace for the star in the background...

I really like this effect and am trying to use it for a short comic. I have also been tag teaming it with some inking for that comic feel - but I'm still learning.

Here's a couple of my tats and my guitar case. The NOTLD one is on my right arm and the one on my back was done the day I got out of the Navy. Both were done by Karl Brenalt in Wilmington Delaware. He used to tattoo Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. The NOTLD one was drawn by him direct from the cover of the movie and has been in a couple of magazines. He was very proud of it when he did it as I still am! The guitar case is something I did a few years ago the last time I was playing in a band. It took me about three days of obsessing and my wife nearly lost her mind. Believe it or not, getting the nose just right was the hardest part!!

Currently in the middle of this illustration. As was pointed out on another thread her eyes are off, but I didn't really care since her hair will be covering her right eye anyway. I tend to draw in layers and cover up previous sketches with more detail to (hopefully) create a more detailed image.

thanks, yeah thats how i pretty much draw is comic style. ive taken a few classes and learned how to do muscles and all that. im also pretty good at still lifes, but comics are probably my forte. i can draw a kickass spiderman, or used too.

This painting is based on a sketch I did while attending the Bodies Exhibit at the Tropicana in Vegas. I was allowed 3 hrs to go through the exhibit and sketch anything I wanted. I then took my sketches home and created this peice from my drawings. The colors are nothing like the actual model I drew from, but the overall interpretation is there.

Klownhed is that that exhibit were they take real human corpses and do all those various things to them? i wouldnt want no one doing that to my corpse but as long as the people agreed......Ever see the exihbit were some guy cut a cow into like 6 inch chunks lengthwise and and set it up as this walk through display.

Klownhed is that that exhibit were they take real human corpses and do all those various things to them? i wouldnt want no one doing that to my corpse but as long as the people agreed......Ever see the exihbit were some guy cut a cow into like 6 inch chunks lengthwise and and set it up as this walk through display.yeah Booz, it certainly was. The model i sketched from was throwing darts with all his peripheral nerves exposed.. it was a very uuummm interesting exhibit .. you know, i love me some good on-screen guts and gore .. but when it comes to real life human insides, i'm a big fat baby .. when i first walked into the exhibit, i was very uncomfartable .. but then my brain went into safe mode and somehow detached me from what i was are really seeing ..

.. right at the end of the exhibit there is a large display case lying flat .. inside, a specimen has been thin sliced horizontally and each cross-section spaced apart about an inch or so making the entire display a good 10 or 12 feet long from head to toe .. insane .. and then right next to it is another flat display case with an entire empty human skin inside .. that's the one really got to me ..

Actually I'm quite chuffed with this one, I drew it 5 years ago as part of an Higher Art project (That I didn't pass yet passed with an A next year doing something unimaginative). Then I scanned it into the PC and decided to colour it in.

Thank you very much. That took me over 2 weeks to do in Art class. And I've actually sold my art before. 2 years ago I made a sculpture of a robot out of random art supplies, and the home ec teacher gave me $20 for it. I just wish I took a picture of it first. :lol:
