Well, I got this in the Zombie 3 DVD pack that was mentioned awhile back. I have been waiting to watch it for awhile, but wasn't willing to spend the cash. When I found it in a 3 pack for less than 20 bucks, I jumped on the deal.
The film is set in Louisiana, where a group of college students head out to find an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. They interview a man who was blinded by birds after killing some people. Then, they get lost. Then, they start to die.
There is apparently some plot thrown in with it and there are only a few zombies. They don't show up for awhile. They have super strength and are gray, much like the zombies in The Child for those who are familiar with it.
Well, the shock ending bit didn't do much aside from make me ask "Why didn't they build up to this more?"
The film wasn't too good over all. Some areas have a decent score, but that can't save it. I don't know. Enthusiasts should check it out. Other people might want to steer clear.

Everytime I see the box cover for this I keep thinking about Hitchcocks "The Birds" and that the movie has to stink. Is this movie about killer birds or zombies?

I think it’s about both.
They should have added a lot more zombies.

I bought this set during DeepDiscountDVD's recent 20% off sale, and I still haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I'm not expecting much, but for less than $10.00/free shipping, I thought I'd add it to my collection.

well, watched killing birds last night... and it was much better than i expected or hoped for! i had my hand on teh remote ready to ff to the good parts, but i really got into the story and wanted to see what would happen next. it sure did crap out at the end, probably the quickest wrap up to a story i've ever seen...concluded faster than a star trek episode. also could've gone way further with the zombies and zombie gore. it sure wouldn't have been difficult to sever those heads completely, even off screen, and at least show the headless body. the death scenes just ended prematurely. otherwise, well worth the few bucks to have it on the shelf for future reference.

Is this movie about killer birds or zombies?Well, in all honesty, the birds in this film do not take any lives. So, I have no clue about the title.

Three zombie movies for 20 bucks. Even if they suck they are worth adding to your collection. I own a lot of crappy movies anyway!!!

I must have paid about $15 USD for my copy of Z5:KB a few months ago.
My favorite part was near the end when a zombie grabbed at one of the "actors" through a wall, missed him, and then the "actor" aimed his body and fell right into his arms'.
I'm totally hip to buying the less popular zombie flicks, even if they're not all that good! Nightmare City wasn't perfect but whatever mistakes it made, I forgave. I'd have to say the same about this one, but I'm really stretching my big forgiving heart on this one.

I've had my copy for a long while (VHS), and I tried watching it about six months ago, and I wound up turning it off after the first 10 minutes... I guess, I just wasn't in the mood that night.

well, don't they take one life? offscreen, but we're certainly led to believe they get him, right?
i'd feel cheated if i paid 15 for it too, but at 15 bucks for 3, 4, and 5 together, it was definitely worth it. i was disappointed with 3 because i had been led to believe it was going to be much better than the other two. then i really enjoyed 4 and 5, probably mostly because i was forwarned how bad they were, and lowered my expectations even more after watching 3!

No. They just blinded him. They even show him getting out of the ambulance and such.

They have an alternate title for the film, and it is Dark Eyes of the Zombie... Someone on ebay a while back was selling a copies of this flick under that title, and I thought I discoved a new indie Zombie film, until I checked the IMDB. :-(

i'm talkin about much later in the film. you know, much much later.
I have Zombie 5: Killing Birds on dvd and I use to hate that movie but it has grown on me just a tiny bit. The film only has 3 zombies in it which are the murdered couple from the beginning and some other dude lol. The lead actress in it is annoying and she was in the films Ghosthouse and Tenebre.
I liked the setting for the film and of course the acting is pretty terrible in it. Robert Vaughn stars in it as the blind guy and he was in the films The Towering Inferno, the Magnificent 7, and Superman 3.
