Here's my current want list; some of these haven't been released yet, I'm basically trying to update many of the movies listed to the best available DVD version out there.

Mainly looking for film suggestions, but as you can see, any other kind of zombie stuff (books, comics, collectibles, etc.) is welcome as well. I'm posting this here because I'm mostly looking for movies, the rest is a bonus. ;-)

36 Hours - Anthony Barnhart
Autumn - David Moody
The Beyond - Lucio Fulci (Tin can version?)
The Blind Dead Collection - Armando de Ossorio
Book of the Dead: The Complete History of Zombie Cinema - Jamie Russell
Burial Ground - Andrea Bianchi (Probably will end up getting an Italian release)
Deathdream
Digital Webbing Presents #21
Containment - Eric Red
Down The Road: A Zombie Horror Story - Bowie Ibarra
The End is Night #1 (Is this ever going to be available?)
Fragile - Stefano Raffaele
I Am Legend - Richard Matheson (Looking for a hardcover edition)
Junk (Look for The Asian Zombie Collection)
Land of the Dead - George A. Romero (Not yet on DVD, but on the list already)
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie - Jorge Grau
Night of the Living Dead - Tom Savini
The Rising - Brian Keene
The Sacrament of The Blind Dead (What ever happened to this project?)
Shaun of the Dead - Edgar Wright
Shockwaves
Undead - Michael & Peter Spierig
Versus - Ryuhei Kitamura
The Walking Dead Vol. 3: Safety Behind Bars - Robert Kirkman
Wild Zero (Look for The Asian Zombie Collection)
Zombie Jam - David J. Schow
Zombie Model Kit
Zombie Pack - Lucio Fulci, Claudio Fragasso, Claudio Lattanzi

Already in the collection:

Last Man on Earth
Night of the Living Dead (1968) Millenium Edition
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (Is there a better version than the VCI release?)
Dawn of the Dead - Ultimate Edition
Zombi 2 - 25th Anniversary Special Edition
Creepshow

Should arrive any day now:

Day of the Dead (Double Disc)
Return of the Living Dead
Re-Animator - Millenium Edition

Thanks in advance!

The Sacrament of The Blind Dead (What ever happened to this project?)

Hey Mindtraveller,

Sacrament of the Blind Dead is still on the Indie Gods active project list though I terminated the illustrator several months back. After several script re-writes and major delays in pages being turned in, I ended the arrangement I had with him. Another major factor was the illustrators style. He was an awesome artist but he had an anime style that I knew wouldn't truly reflect the respect I had for the original source material as well as the fans.

Indie Gods has finished a new Blind Dead short story entitled, Ascension of the Blind Dead for our upcoming horror prose project, Breviaries. Ascension pits the Blind Dead against a female werewolf, which was Amando de Ossorio's dream project. We also have a finished music CD entitled, Soundtrack of the Blind Dead performed by The Giallos Flame. That will probably see release in late October. We at Indie Gods are also toying with some major horror novelists taking the reigns on some Blind Dead stories as well. You'll see a lot more of the Blind Dead very soon.

BTW, we do have a zombie comic currently getting ready for public sales called, Deadhattan. You can find pictures of the comic in the comic/book section of ATZ.

*Info*

Thanks a lot for all that information, there are some really interesting things going on. I'm going to keep an eye on those.

I suspected that if you happened to reply, you'd chime in with that, if only to make me cringe.

But to answer your question. It's in my "horror movies" want list. ;-)

you will like the day 2 disc set. good deal.

i'm looking forward to adding dead alive and savini's notld to my collection too. also:

return of the living dead 3
cemetery man (due out very soon i hope)

i'm not sure if the dvd in the beyond metal box is any different from the plastic case anchor bay release. either way, the zombie stuff in it is great, and it's a really interesting movie overall. i'm working my way through the zombie pack right now. $14.99 at best buy; couldn't pass on that! wasn't too impressed with zombi 3 (a bit below versus on my campy zombie movie list). started after death (zombi 4) and it's much better at the start. we'll see how the rest goes! the dubbing in both is completely laughable. i wonder if the original italian dialog is as badly written and spoken.

Q: how's your copy of zombi 2 - 25th anniversary edition? i want to get it again, but every copy i tried froze on dr. menard's face, just after dr. bowles dies. do you experience any problem at all around that scene?

I had that very exact same problem with two copies, and it turned into a saga that was somewhat stressing. I had to return the movie twice, the second replacemente never arrived, so I had to contact the shop to notify them of this. Fortunately, they did have a sense of professional responsibility and sent me another copy free of charge. This one was finally in good condition.

There was a batch of defective discs by the part of Media Blasters, look carefully at your disc's surface, you'll notice an irregularity at the outer edges.

YES! that's exactly it. there was a little round dip in the surface near the edge. i'm so glad to finally find someone who noticed that. sorry you had the aggravation too, but at least i can now look forward to buying it again and eventually getting a good copy.
