"Locked Away" Trailer Up - Indie Zombie Film

I'm new to these boards, looking for some thoughts on the teaser trailer for a film I've been working on the past year and a half.

Here's a brief history on the movie. We began pre-production in January of 2004, started shooting that July , shooting primarily on weekends. We wrapped up just before Christmas, and I've been editing since March with a goal of finishing it, at the latest, by this Christmas. Our budget was about $15,000, most of it going toward equipment. We shot on a Panasonic AG-DVX100 in 24p. The cast and crew were 100% volunteer, everyone having day jobs in addition to this project.

That's real brief, but should give a basic idea for starters. I'm willing to go more in depth on anything if anyone is interested.

We're making some revisions to it and the trailer yet, but it serves as a good idea toward what we're going for. Feel free to post your thoughts and criticisms!

Loved it!

This is a really sharp Teaser. You had me hooked. The audio track is great as I was just envisioning what was happening. The Synopsis sounds great. I'm hooked.

I use the DVX100 as well; loving the look of this.

Nice. I watched it in "slow mo" and the zombie and gore effects look gerat. Nice arm biting scene also!

Excellent! It is very hard to convey fear and to hide what the fear is until the big ta da! You did that very well on the teaser. If I had any complaint at all it is the difficulty in reading the print in the story, the color contrast is a little to close. But that is nothing. I really really hope this happens for you!Excellent acting too.

Thanks everyone for your encouragment. It is really exciting to get to this point. And I agree about that synopsis page being hard to read. My webmaster is supposed to fix that up soon.

I just got an exciting email from a friend who saw that Fangoria's website put a story up in today's news.

At first I thought the whole trailer was going to be just sound bites, and panning around, but I really liked the way it finished... Good job! Looking forward in seeing the film in its entirety.

Pretty cool looking, although I dint think much of the trailer, I dig the make up, you say the cast and crew are all volunteers? Well, I'll definitely have to keep an eye on this. Looking forward for its completion.
