This movie sucks ass. Poor, poor Troma...

Well, at least they got more sick and twisted during the next 30 or so years.

I don't think Troma made this; I'm sure they just got the distribution rights to release it in their Triple Header Zombie Collection. Either way, I liked it; I thought it was a hoot. I particularly enjoyed the swinging pickax action. :)

And you are right. Troma has over a 1,000 movies in their library but they only made about 20 films themselves. The rest are ones they picked up for distrobution.

Troma fare generally churns my stomach. I'm not offended or grossed out by the stuff they release, I just expect more from the product I buy. I don't want a disc so packed full of extras that the movie itself pixelates and stalls on occasion. I don't want to see Toxie reshot into most Troma acquisitions. I will give Troma props on a couple of their latest though. Angel Negro, Suicide and Pure Blood are actually decent movies. Troma is also responsible for intro Tiffany Shepis to the horror world. For that I am eternally grateful.

Agreed! Troma just tries a little too hard sometimes. The Garden of the Dead Triple B-Header disc ticks me off sooooo bad. Everytime you put the disc in, you have to watch Lloyd Kaufman's 5 minute intro. There's no way around it. Then the main menu pops up where you can choose which movie or extras you want to watch. The movies included are pixelated as well. The Garden of the Dead transfer is terrible. It's so bad, it kinda makes me want to go get they individual discs for each film.

Agreed! I love the Lunachicks, so the little surprise music video really made my day.

I agree but not at the cost of the actual films quality. When I purchase a DVD I purchase the DVD for the movie first, not the extras. Don't get me wrong tons of extras are always a plus but not at the expense of film quality. For the price I pay I expect exceptional clarity and sound.

Garden of the Dead is pretty bad. I lucked out and got it in a set with Buttcrack, which I did thoroughly enjoy though. Plus, it was cheap and has zombies in it.

I was thinking about buying it a while back, but at the last minute, I changed my mind.... I'm glad now that I did. :)

I've never watched this film before but I see it for sell on amazon.com

So how do the zombies in this film look and are there any gory kills in it? From what I read on here it sounds like it sux bad but I still wanna view it for myself.
