SOTA TOYS ENTERS THE "LAND OF THE DEAD"!

NOW PLAYING PRESENTS “LAND OF THE DEAD”!
June 6, 2005: Legendary filmmaker George Romero presents his Ultimate Zombie Masterpiece… and SOTA Toys will bring you the Ultimate Zombie action figures!

SOTA Toys is proud to announce action figures based off of Universal Pictures’ upcoming fourth installment in George Romero’s “…Dead” saga - Land of the Dead, in theaters June 24th.

With the living dead encompassing the world, the last human survivors are holed up in a walled city, the wealthy living above the fallen world as if nothing has happened. But those that live beneath the skyscrapers know that things are about to change for the worst - the zombies have begun to evolve!

“We’re stoked to be working on the latest installment of the “Dead” series,” said SOTA Toys’ Jerry Macaluso. “If you’re going to make zombie movie action figures, you might as well make the best. George Romero is THE undisputed King of the Dead.”

While still in development, the movie figures will be released under SOTA Toys’ Now Playing lineup of 7” scale figures. Tentatively scheduled are figures of zombie “leader” Big Daddy (Eugene Clark), Blade (Tom Savini) and Cholo (John Leguizamo) with a fourth figure to be announced at a later date.

Look for “Land of the Dead” figures to be released in early 2006.

I could try to tell my wife "it's a toy for our daughter" but, she's only 8 months old! It might not fly.

Although I loved the movie, the Land of the Dead toys look stupid in person. I saw them at comic-con and I didn't like them. I did pick up the Sideshow exclusive Patient Zero 12" Zombie figure. If you want to see how cool this figure is, send a message and I'll send you some photos of what this figure can do.
