Okay, before you say anything, I did do a search. I got seven threads about ResEvil and none of them were for Zero. That being said, I thought I'd start my own. If there is one and I missed it, sorry.
I've had this for quite a while but never got around to seriously playing it. I had to take RE4 back to the video store today, so I decided to pop it in. I have to say, I do like the new combat system in RE4 much better. But this is about Zero.
It's quite annoying really, that they decided to cut down on the amount of health items and ammo in the game while doubling the number of PCs. I mean, c'mon, there are more and better ways to increase tension than making me run around half dead with single digit amounts of ammunition.
I love the look of the zombies, though. I wish we could see more of them. Unfortunatley the long haired girly boy is into his vaginal leeches, phallic grasshoppers and balding monkeys. I think I've encountered about eight zombies since the train portion ended.
Let me know what you guys think/thought. I know this is an older game, but we are zombie fans here. I'm guessing that the majority of you have played this and probably still have it.

I have to agree once of the train there is a major lack of Zombies and you are given bascily no ammo, but i like it that way! It makes it very hard and is always fun to play through.
One thing im not really to keen on is having to run half way through the mansion to get a weapon cos my old one ran out of ammo and i left all my other guns/ammo in the main hall :(
I only played this through fairly recently, but did enjoy it. I thought it had a good balance between puzzles and fighting. The only thing that bugged me was that the bosses weren't that difficult to beat.

One other question, for those of you who've played. Since when did Mr. Fantastic become a zombie. By that, I mean, the one with the rubber arms that's impossible to kill. Those really annoy me. Any tips for beating them?
I do agree that there are some interesting puzzles in this one. I brain farted last night and didn't even think to put the lighter fluid in Billy's lighter. I had to resort to a FAQ. What a maroon. :loon:
I'm also enjoying the additional back story on some of the major RE players like Wesker and Birkin. Especially since I never was able to get a copy of "Wesker's Report".

I enjoyed Zero very much. Before RE4, the combat system was outstanding because you could discard weapons at will and have cover fire at times. I can't say that I've ever run low on ammo, though. I know I played through one the easy level (You all may have played on a harder setting) but near the end I had the full 250 rounds in my inventory for the pistol. I must say, though, good choice for a game and quite a nice thread. :)
Maybe there is a lack of zombies as it is set before the outbreak, when they are still experimenting, hence the array of other weird and wonderful creatures? They hadn't reached the labs in the mansion from the original Resident Evil. Just a thought.

Hey! I played it to experience the atmosphere! :loon: Give me some credit, though, I've started RE4 on the pro setting and have my @$$ handed to me on a regular basis.

o god, i frikin hated that thing my first time playing it...id always run away as soon as his "theme music" would come on...but my second time around i was fed up of being bullied and i killed each and every last one of them!...and i found out they arent that hard, if you put some balls into it...i just equipped both characters with molotov's and spares and molotoved their asses to death...it onll takes about 3 molotovs of them and between the 2 of you it takes about 3 seconds to kill those nasty things...dont shot them its a waste of precious ammo...
