i am guessing that many of you have, but who here has the Ultimate Red Edition of Romero's Dawn of the Dead? (155 minutes?)
I got hold of a copy, but it is a pity it is German language only. If only someone had the patience to redub the original soundtrack onto this version. I know it's overlong and very choppy, but i would think it'd be pretty cool to have an English Dawn with EVERY bit of the movie that wasn't left on the cutting room floor...

Maybe that will happen when the NEXT version of Dawn hits DVD. Last one was 4 discs, next one may be its own boxed set.

Red edition? Is the box red? I don't understand. I have the ultimate edition that has the four discs in it. Is that the same or different?

as far as i know myself, it's been labelled the red edition.
also, i think it is kinda a bootleg thing and not really an official release, tho i could be very wrong on this.

It is a German release only and is kinda a stuck together version of every release of the movie, including EVERY bit of gore and dialogue from any versions that had been released previously.

i think it runs in at around 155 minutes or so.

And as far as i know is German dubbed language only...

Anyone out there know more about this? I don't know much about it at all...

below is a link to a small amount of info on it
according to the graphic of the cover, it seems to have been released in 1997(?)

Blind Dead, how long is the red edition of ROTLD 3?
I've been meaning to get the red editions of quite a few movies for a while now.

93 minutes. Honestly, I've never watched it though so I'm not sure whether it's the uncut UK version. I would get it though if you're a collector. That's the only reason I bought mine.

I'll have to look into that. Where did you purchase yours from?

Ebay. I originally purchased it not knowing what in the hell a Red Edition was. I'm a crazed DVD collector though so it was worth it. I know there's quite a few companies online that sell Red Editions though.
